We come to Pawleys island every July and the vacation would not be complete without a fishing outing with Capt Matt of Georgetown Charters, gliding over the bay in the early morning hours to catch our bait is such a welcome view! The Capt always takes us to his favorite fishing holes and pulling up some flounder for our dinner... More

Have fished with Capt. Matt on multiple occasions and at different times of the year. He's got a knack for finding the fish no matter the circumstances. We've caught reds, trout, flounder and tarpon all with Matt. Having grown up on the waters around Georgetown, Capt. Matt not only has a great knowledge of all the bays, estuaries and creeks... More

Capt. Matt took us out last year and we absolutely crushed it. Tons of big fish and had an awesome time. Can't get a better Captain. Will be a repeat customer for sure!

I have been fortunate enough to go fishing with Capt. Matt a few times each year for the past 5 years. I have been out with friends and also have taken the kids out. I am a life long fisherman and Capt Matt has the knowledge and gets it done. We all have lots of big fish pictures to prove... More

We met Captain Matt in the morning on Wednesday, 8/12/15. He was a great fishing host! Captain Matt will be sure to take you to the hotspots to catch fish. Our crew caught redfish, speckled trout and flounder! Capt Matt even cleaned the catch for us! We had the fish for dinner, plus lots of leftovers :) Our son caught... More

This is a South Carolina hidden secret. We have past this area several time without stopping. Please if you are in this area stop and enjoy the food and view. Big Tuna restaurant /bar, Fogel Wharf, Rice Museum, Strand Theatre, and more.We can't express the beauty and serenity we found there. With the beautiful weather, the sites of boats sitting... More

A friend and I fished with Capt. Matt in late summer of 2012, and he took us to catch what the locals call "Channel Bass" - a name for the extra large Redfish which school during mating season in the shipping channel of Winyah Bay. When we got to the spot there were 4-5 other boats already anchored, but not... More

My boys and I decided to go out fishing on a charter. While at Georgetown marina trying to choose which one we met Captain Matt. The decision was easy. Any one that can connect with 7 and 10 year old boys has my vote. The experience was awesome. Matt was kind and patient with them. He pointed out all kinds... More

My husband and i were in Myrtle Beach. We decided we would just ride around and look at the changes that had taken place since our last visit. While out he decided we would drive to Pawleys Island. It is such a beautiful peaceful place. We had never been and was in awe of the beauty. We left Pawleys Island... More

Captain Matt was a great captain and lots of fun. We caught lots of Reds and a few nice Flounder. I highly recommend this charter service and my daughter and I will be back in Georgetown fishing with Captain Matt again soon.
