The captain was amazing! He made the tour very enjoyable. I have collected shells from every location I have visited from here to Belize so I didn't add to my collection but I was extremely blown away by the beauty of the tour. The lighthouse and the island were breathtaking. I tool wonderful photo of the driftwood and the lighthouse.... More

My family went a couple of weeks ago..and we all had a great time...that is pretty impressive considering it was a group of 10 ranging from 2 to 60 in age! We did the Shell island tour... Captain Rod is hilarious and extremely knowledgeable. My 2 year old son enjoyed being on the boat and walking around on the island.... More

We had a group of 3 adults and 9 kids under 18 and we all had a great time! The history of the area was entertaining for the adults but boring for the kids but the time shelling on the island was an absolute blast for everyone! Well worth the money! We will be doing this tour every time we... More

We're here for my dad's birthday for a couple of days. We chose Cap'n Rod over the competition & I'm so glad we did! We weren't rushed & he knows his history! It's was so mush more than a boat ride. We found some beautiful shells even saw dolphins on the way back in! I highly recommend this as a... More

I had a few relatives and friends coming into town and scheduled a tour with Cap'n Rod for a shelling and lighthouse tour. Cap'n Rod was a wealth of historical information and had a wonderful sense of humor. Although we were unable to find any special shells, we had a fantastic time and would definitely go again. Do wear sunscreen... More

This trip is well worth the money and the drive. Captain Rod is very knowledgeable about the history of the area and a great story teller. It tells the history of the area on the boat ride to seashell island. When you get to the island you have plenty of time to search the beach for shells and driftwood. I... More

Our family had a wonderful time with Capt. Rod on his sea shell tour. He told us so much history about the land and people of this area while we went out to the beach where we hunted for shells. Our girls found tons of very large shells it was a beautiful beach! We will definitely go again the next... More

Beautiful scenery and a nice walk on the beach looking for seashells. Bring a bucket or bags to collect great seashells. There is a bathroom on board, not to worry of the length of the trip.

We took Cap'n Rod's shell island tour and loved every minute of it. Cap'n Rod offers a great narration during the tour that gives historical information about the area and makes the journey fun. Boat trip was very comfortable, even though it was incredibly hot in town. The island is beautiful and peaceful, although we didn't find as many unique... More
