Cap'n Rod is very professional, very informative. If you're going on the shell hunt, just pay attention to your Cap'n and do what he tells you, we found all kinds of shells

the capn was very knowledgeable and hospitable. Saw set of dolphin mother and baby. Saw lots of jellyfish on barrier island as well as received many bites from giant horseflies so this limited by walk on the beach. Great place for shelling and the tour was very nice and for price, trip was long. Saw some old plantations, lighthouse, sea... More

Fran was very helpful in making reservations, returning phone calls etc.Capt Doug had a good sense of humor and made things interesting. The man is quite the historian of the area,He let some kids drive the boat in quiet areas, comfortable, shaded boat, restrooms, snacks served. No alcohol allowed. Saw many dolphins, stopped the boat so we could all watch them play and take pictures.... More

We took the Plantations and Beach Combing tour. There was a quaint light house, plantation homes, and rice patties viewable from the boat. I found the history of the Harvest Moon sinking fascinating, and the part of the wreckage is still visible. There was an eagle, gator, and a very close pod of dolphins that we caught a glimpse of.... In March 2015 my wife and I came to Georgetown to do the plantation tour. I promised her we would come back and do the shell island and lighthouse tour and as always it was a great trip. Tours are schedule so you arrive at low tide and you can find nice shells. Saw dolphins alligator and bald eagles. Cap'n... More

Captain Doug and his first mate Ken were excellent. You can really tell he loves what he does. Captain Doug was informative, witty and is a wealth of knowledge, history and otherwise. Miss Fran was very helpful. Had no idea we would encounter stingrays which between them and the very plentiful jellyfish, inhibited our shelling experience a bit, lol so... More

Had the experience of a lifetime! Captain Doug was great! Beautiful boat ride, local history lesson and AMAZING shoreline full of beautiful shells. Captain Doug kept a smile on our faces with his witty humor and knowledge of local historical sites. Well worth the money. Will visit again next time we're in the area.

Had a great afternoon on Captain Rod's tour. He was even able to hold the attention of two 15 year old Pokeman addicts. He did a great job of making the tour come alive with his own brand of wit and humor. Always the consummate salesman for other local businesses. Well worth the price. The shelling was OK, enjoyed the... More

The captain was amazing! He made the tour very enjoyable. I have collected shells from every location I have visited from here to Belize so I didn't add to my collection but I was extremely blown away by the beauty of the tour. The lighthouse and the island were breathtaking. I tool wonderful photo of the driftwood and the lighthouse.... More
