The course is taken care of even when when people are playing. They water the greens before we putted so we had to skip several greens. The starters are extremely rude even to the point of running after a golf cart that had one person in it. There were very few people on a Tuesday but they ran him down without an explanation or apology. He was furious. Don't expect any better treatment when paying for your round. A gentleman had a difficult last name so the cashier told him to show an ID. She acted annoyed and slammed the range token on the counter. I almost left. Avoid this place until they learn how to treat people. It's supposed to be a gentleman's game but this particular course doesn't appear to recognize this.

Outstanding facility. Large grass range and practice green large enough to host events comfortably. The course was very hilly - felt like a mountain course in places. Conditions were great in June. Great value, too...only $31 on a weekday for 55 and older. Also have a membership rate of $120/month for weekday-only play, which includes their three sister courses in the area!

Not an easy course for me. Very nice pre-golf facility. Expansive putting greens, driving range and bunkers to hone one skills before venturing out. The course has always been well maintained. Personally I find it a bit difficult for my skill level. Pro shop and and field staff are very professional.

Springfield , as always, was in very good condition.
(Despite heavy rain the night before)
Though rather difficult, it is an enjoyable course to play.
Also, the Staff, especially Golf Pro Bud Welch, are quite
helpful and friendly .

I played Springfield recently after about a 5 year hiatus. The course has matured and improved significantly since then. Tee times are usually available.

This may be one of, if not the best public course in the Charlotte metro area. The layout is truly outstanding. Beautiful tree lined fairways. The course is quite challenging so I wouldn't recommend it to the novice golfer. But, if you are a 12 or below handicap, you will truly love it.

Highly recommended Golf Club and Course. Everyone is super friendly and positive. Even if you don’t have anyone to go play with you will get paired up with other groups, and not once have I got paired with people that didn’t give me tips or help me with my game.

I used to love this golf course. It was one of the premier golf courses in the Charlotte region. Took customers out and it has turned into a goat ranch!! May be one of the worst golf courses i have ever played. They need to change something our this will soon be home plots (maybe that is their goal)

Springfield is in a very upscale development but don’t let that keep you away. The staff is very friendly. The course is not a walk in the park for novice players. It has few flat spots unless you are in the middle of the fairway.
The variety of holes is excellent.
It has the best practice facility in the area and a great teaching staff.

My friend and I played Springfield GC for the first time yesterday and we were delighted with our experience. A cloudy Tuesday so the course was not busy. We played in 4 hours but we were in no hurry and even stopped for an awesome chili dog after nine holes.
Although the greens had been recently dressed with fine sand, it didn't seem to adversely affect our play. The layout is tight and demanding but the golfer's aid card described helpful tips and strategies to navigate the course.
The course conditions were perfect in the fairway and around the greens. Any ball off the fairway was often in deep trouble. Some areas were designated environmental areas where golfers were prohibited, with good reason.
Springfield touts great electric carts, plenty of on-course water coolers, ballwashers on every hole, yardage plaques on the tees.Use the extra key that comes with your cart to gain access to the pristine restrooms on the course.
We can't wait to play Springfield again soon.
