Love going to this pier, first time I went seen several dolphins. This time a guy had caught a small shark he let the “kids”well all of us feel it before he released it. Big and little kids enjoyed that.

Second time we have visited this fishing pier, haven’t fished off of it yet! Once was to just see the ocean and the beach from it. This last time we were treated to something really special. Got check out the pictures. We went early that morning around 10am

It was very windy the day were were there and there were not many on the pier at all - definitely no one fishing. I saw a sign that sells the license needed as soon as you get on it.
Lots of grackles and a few pigeons there.
There is a nice view on both sides. It made for a nice sunset.
parking costs $5 and you have no option except to pay.
I can certainly see this being a popular spot on a nice day.
There is a restaurant as soon as you enter the pier - we did not go in.

Folly Beach Pier has gorgeous views of the ocean and from the second story lookout, you can see for miles. The view back towards the beach is awesome as well. Fishing can be done from the pier at a rental cost of $8-$15 pp depending on fishing gear needed. Many large fish were caught, including a small shark(which was thrown back in)! Our teens enjoyed it as well!

This is an amazing pier stretching far into the water. Free chairs are available to people watch and enjoy the view, an outdoor bar and restaurant looked good and gift shop there also with tasty ice cream! A great place to take in the view of the amazing beach and relax in the sun. A highlight of your stay in the area.

Pier is closed due to construction. You can still walk up to the shop and stand out on the deck area but that’s it. I’m sure it’s going to look great next year when it gets finished tho!!

I stopped by here on an early morning at the beach, and I was blown away. This has been one of the neatest piers I have been too, especially at the end with the elevated spot to sit and view. While I did not get to enjoy the restaurant, as it was early morning, this looks like an excellent spot to hang out.

The beach was clean and everywhere we went the people were friendly. They’re working on the fishing pier, so I’d call to make sure it’s finished if fishing from it is in your plans. There was a volleyball net up for people to play, and plenty of lounge chairs. The gift shop was nice. We had a great time here. May go back when it’s warmer!

Very disappointed that the pier was closed and you can’t walk out on it. However, with the pier being closed, I walked under the pier looking for shells. Yes, it was closed but I still enjoyed walking under and around the pier and having the pier in pictures was beautiful!

This pier has it all! Gift shop, restaurant, and ice cream! The pier is absolutely gorgeous, and a nice walk. I love the upper deck feature as well. You pay to park but can stay as long as you like! Also within walking distance are lots of shops and restaurants along the strip. Fun way to kill a few hours!
