This is an amazing pier stretching far into the water. Free chairs are available to people watch and enjoy the view, an outdoor bar and restaurant looked good and gift shop there also with tasty ice cream! A great place to take in the view of the amazing beach and relax in the sun. A highlight of your stay in the area.

Folly Beach Pier has gorgeous views of the ocean and from the second story lookout, you can see for miles. The view back towards the beach is awesome as well. Fishing can be done from the pier at a rental cost of $8-$15 pp depending on fishing gear needed. Many large fish were caught, including a small shark(which was thrown back in)! Our teens enjoyed it as well!

It is all new clean and a great walk. You will see people from all over on this famous pier and even see some fish being caught by locals. It’s got showers below to rinse off all the days sand before you head out and a restaurant up top. It’s a great place to experience a view!

We visited as a 2 family vacation, both with younger kids, young adults & a teen. Enjoyed the beach. All clean facilities for changing & restrooms. Fishing was pretty fun. Rod rental prices seemed fair, as did their bait pricing. There is plenty of parking nearby, though all of it is paid. Nice small beach town feel w shops & bars/restaurants.

What a great fishing pier. It's all new. Very sturdy, huge, outstanding seating along the entire pier with shade and tables at the very end. A drink vending machine at the end of the pier for drinks and a restaurant and a store prior to getting onto the pier. Couldn't have been any better. We fish on many piers throughout Florida and this one is by far superior in South Carolina. Could use a few more restrooms, but other than that the fishing pier is an A plus.

The pier is the major landmark on Folly Beach so expect a big crowd. Lots of kids on the beach surfing and playing beach volleyball. Expect to pay $20 to park, but there is a lot to see and do in the area.

good bar, comfortable chairs...great place to sit and enjoy the night. The pier is being rebuilt, so limited space on our visit. But you can grab a drink and sit and watch the beach as night approaches

I stopped by here on an early morning at the beach, and I was blown away. This has been one of the neatest piers I have been too, especially at the end with the elevated spot to sit and view. While I did not get to enjoy the restaurant, as it was early morning, this looks like an excellent spot to hang out.

The new renovated 1,000 foot long pier opened today, 25 Dec 2022. Open 6am to 9pm. There may be a few days it will be closed to remove equipment, restore the parking lot, etc. I think th piers will reopen around 15 Jan 2023. Call (843) 762-9516 before traveling a long way between 1 Jan to 15 Jan 2023.

Pier is closed due to construction. You can still walk up to the shop and stand out on the deck area but that’s it. I’m sure it’s going to look great next year when it gets finished tho!!
