My son and I were, very, impressed, and, very, satisfied with the, 4-hour dolphin, boat tour on February 8, 2023! Our, boat, captain spent a lot of time engaging with us, and, conveying a wealth of facts and information! He was personable, and, truly, enjoys his job! He made, special, efforts to steer toward, several, dolphin, pods and followed them for 20 minutes. He, was, very, knowledgeable about the history of the waterways, oyster beds, aquatic birds, and, the islands, and,, he was thorough in his explanations. It was an informative and relaxing, boat tour and, we, highly, recommend Will Smith, our, boat, captain who was welcoming and patient with all our questions.

We had a fantastic time on this two hour adventure. Our group was made up of two families with teens 16+ and varying degrees of comfort in a kayak. Our guide was fantastic - patient and funny - as he ran us through the skills and safety precautions needed.

The tour headed out on tidal creeks, crossed a river, and continued in tidal creeks. We saw dolphins inches from us, pelicans diving, fish jumping and loads of other marsh wildlife.

The weather and tides changed while we were out and our guide rerouted the group calmly and efficiently. We didn't have a phone for pictures and our guide was kind enough to take some pictures for us on his phone and text them to us.

This was an absolute highlight of our trip. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I were visiting the Charleston area on a short, 3 day vacation. This was the perfect excursion for couples, families, or anyone interested in beautiful scenery and viewing aquatic life. Our guide (who I unfortunately forgot the name of!!) was awesome, very informative of the area and super fun to talk with. He had a great attitude for the tour.
We had gone on the sunset boat tour and I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. The sunset was absolutely beautiful, with views of the local lighthouse and town. The boat was smaller which allowed up close and personal dolphin sightings, which we saw over a dozen of. If I’m ever back in the area, I’d hands down visit this business again!

We did the sunset tour. It was a beautiful night and a lovely sunset but it definitely could have been better. We floated down the “river” at a slow pace and stopped a few times to do nothing. We saw a mother and baby dolphin which was really cool. Then we went into the marsh area and slowly killed time. Our guide was clearly trying to kill time and wasn’t very knowledgeable about much we were looking at or how to find wildlife. Anything we saw was found by a person on the tour. We literally just sat in grassy marsh for a 10-15 mins not looking for anything or pointing out anything interesting, just sitting. They took some photos of our group which turned out good and emailed us. Then we headed back super slow again and randomly stopped for no reason. The guide mentioned several times we were ahead of schedule. We hadn’t done much or explored much so it was hard to believe there was much of a well thought out schedule. Finally about 9 mins before sunset the guide announced “there is a great place to see a sunset 10 mins for here”. We paddled like our life depended on it to get to the spot in time. Why not get there earlier when we weren’t doing anything? The guide was very new to this and could have used better training. The kayaks were pretty well beat up even for a rental place.
It was a good evening, but definitely feel like with a little more effort on their part it would have been amazing. Everyone we dealt with was nice too.

Our bachelorette weekend planned to go on the sunset dolphin kayak, but the weather had other plans. Flipper Finders were incredibly helpful in scheduling us another tour in a very short time window! We had a blast!

We booked a sunset kayak trip and it was cancelled by weather twice. But, each time we got a call and they worked with us to rebook. They also helped us to coordinate a trip on one of their boats cruises for my parents at same time. We ended up on a morning kayak excursion and Audrey, our guide, was great. We definitely saw dolphins but really just enjoyed paddling around Folly River and Audrey’s knowledge of the area. Would recommend!

Kayaking with Flipper Finder was the highlight of our family trip to Charleston & Folly Beach! Our guide Austin was friendly, patient and very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna. You could tell that he was right at home on the water and enjoyed guiding us throughout the marshes of Folly Island - even beginners like us! Excellent bang for your buck - well worth it!

Our guide Deas was awesome customizing our experience on our skills andabilities. And most importantly allowed me to lay back and take care of my river sickness (too much cigar out of the gate, bad food at lunch, and some wakes I could have done without at the time. I recovered, my wife stopped going in circles and our daughter eventually stopped laughing and started paddling again. All in all a great way to see the moon rise the sunset, the dolphins frolic And spot your fishing spot for later

Kate in the office was so helpful and worked to rearrange customers so we were ensured to go out on the sunset dolphin cruise. So happy it all worked out because Captain Will was awesome and we had a perfect adventure. Even the dolphins cooperated and put on a show for us to enjoy! The Capt is so friendly, ecosystem knowledgeable and informative. We all absolutely recommend this excursion! Thank you Flipper Finders!!

Captain Richard took us on a peaceful, beautiful excursion during our trip to Folly Beach. Run by a local, the owner of this business loves what he does, appreciates the scenery, and is accommodating from guests ranging from 7 mos to 70+. He was able to connect with the adults while entertaining the kids and even shared his love of Luigi with my son. We will remember it always. Don’t hesitate to book this for yourself, your family or friends. You won’t regret it. Thank you, Flipper Finders!
