We offer private boat charters including lighthouse/ shelling trips, dolphin watches and sunset cruises. Capt. Randy Smith is native to the area and places great emphasis on safety and fun. We had a wonderful Birthday boat ride! We saw pods of dolphin; one even had a Baby! The ride was fantastic and was so beautiful. Definitely looking forward to doing again.

Within fifteen minutes of leaving the dock, the boat was surrounded by a pod dolphins, including some newborn calves. Needless to say, our dolphin excursion was amazing thanks to the Dolphin King, aka Captain Randy.

We had the very best time on our tour with Captain Randy and will definitely be calling him again next year. Everyone in our party (6 adults) agreed that this tour was the highlight our week in Folly.

Captain Randy was knowledgeable, entertaining, and accommodating to our group. The light house visit and history he shared were amazing! He showed us lots of dolphin activity and gave us the best tips for Morris Island shelling. Truly the best money spent all week!!

I booked this charter for my granddaughter's 9th birthday. Needless to say, she was beside herself with excitement at seeing the dolphins. Captain Randy was very knowledgeable of the area, where to find the dolphins and the history of the lighthouse. The personal touches that he put into this voyage made it all the better. She is already asking me to make this a "tradition". We will absolutely be doing this again.

We took our two toddlers on this perfect boat trip. It was a great mix of nature, scenery, history and awesome random facts. Our kids loved getting off the boat near the lighthouse. We will be booking this again for next year!

Captain Randy made this tour perfect because he catered it to our individual desires. He had such a positive and happy way about him; you can tell he enjoys what he does. Morris island was amazing and the timing was perfect because when we were exploring, we were the only ones there! We saw dolphins and collected a perfect sand dollar.

Captain Randy provided a fun boat ride experience for our grandchildren to see dolphins and the lighthouse at close range. He shared vast historical and educational knowledge. Definitely a memorable experience for all!

Hello Randy. I was wondering if you are able to take a group of 15 women from charleston to Sullivan’s island? We could do a little exploring of dolphins, shells prior with you as well. We want to spend the afternoon on the beach there so maybe we would return by Uber? I would love your thoughts/recommendations. This would be Saturday October 8th. Hopefully with cooperative weather. If it is feasible, what would be the cost?

Hello! Are you able to go to downtown Charleston from folly beach? Is that even a worthwhile trip? I’m interested in a one way trip there .Thanks chris

hi there, yes Charleston is definitely something you want to see while here. You can Uber there from Folly for about 20 bucks, whereas my fee would be around $300. By way of water, there is a lot of time and fuel expense involved ,which is why so expensive for boat. hope that helps !

I think the tour was about two hours. I gave him a tip on top of the price for the excellent service and amazing experience.

Hi Betty,
We can accommodate using 2 boats. We have done many of these and works out well. Boats depart and stay together the entire time. Cost is $200 per boat

When we went in May of 2016, we took our 6 year-old and 3 year-old granddaughters. They had excellent adult supervision because there were 6 adults with them. Their safety was never in doubt (they also were very well-behaved and sat still), and they had an absolute blast.
