Please be advised that, despite having a functional website, this museum has closed. The blue teapot is still there for viewing, but everything else is gone. Calling the number on the website confirms it has been closed.

Interesting site in this small rural town. I knew I was going through the town so I stopped to see and take pics of this structure. Not everyday you see a giant blue teapot. Easy to find with plenty of parking

Museum part was very interesting. Pictures don’t do it justice. There are many rooms filled with teapots!! However, the picture of the entrance you see on this site was not the entrance we had. It is in disarray, so you won’t even see that entrance. Paying $30 a person for the food we were served was incredibly disappointing. The soup was very thick like gravy, the amount of pimento cheese served on the sandwiches was such a small amount it was hardly detectable. The chicken salad was good, but it’s served on the smallest Croissant I’ve ever seen. The amount of food served was maybe $3 a person: not $30. I recommend you go for a nice $30 steak dinner instead.

The original owner of the museum donated it to an animal rescue facility. It has been closed for 4 years and they just re-opened it on 6 Apr 2019. They are still remodeling, so it is a work in progress. We went for high tea, which was excellent and so much fun. Entrance to the museum is $6, pot of tea and museum is $12, and high tea is $30 (well worth it!). You need to make reservations for high tea. The website was not working, but they are trying to get it up and running. All of the workers are volunteers! Their phone number is 803-983-3210. I know they are closed Mondays. Enjoy!

This place was amazing! We unexpectedly were able to do a quick tour of the place. I thought the place was closed so didn't allow a whole lot of time in the area. They actually aren't opening until tomorrow 3-29-19 but since Jenny was around she showed us inside and it was unbelievable :) Me and my friends are so excited about going back to have high tea and really explore.
