The museum/library complex has free parking (the museum is toward the right as you enter the parking lot). Admission is free --there is a donation box if you are so inclined. There is a fish tank just inside the entrance which contains local species of fish. The museum has many artifacts and story boards giving a fine history of the region including the natural science of the area. COVID-19: The employee was not wearing a mask but visitors were expected to be masked and maintain social distancing protocols.…

My wife/I were visiting Conway and found this museum. The admission was free but contributions are appreciated. What's so fascinating about this museum is that it's housed in the old Conway High School. The exhibits are many and cross all walks of cultures. We were totally entertained by all of the exhibits that provided a close-up look on the history of Horrey County and it's communities. This is a must see when visiting Conway, SC. We will return on our next visit.…

We were very surprised at the amount of things they had on display. Not only the history of Horry County and Conway but of the various wars as well as nature. They also have a small aquarium. Staff are very friendly.

Harry County Museum was recommended to us by the host at the visitor center. We had a fun time viewing the different exhibits at this quaint museum. They even had homemade quilts that we had an opportunity to vote on. They also have a huge fish tank in the front lobby built the the guys on the show “Tanked”.…

Rainy day activities are often costly, but a trip to this museum is free and full of interesting exhibits about the area history. The exhibits are well set up and cover a variety of topics. Along with the documentary about pirates in the 1700s, purchase of a jar of apple pie moonshine jelly from the gift shop and voting for the best quilt from the new display, we spent almost three enjoyable hours here.…
