This is a very nice small museum that features timely exhibits and some in-house exhibits. Located in the beautiful campus of The University of South Carolina, there is plenty of parking. I visited to see an exhibit done by students on Aviary conservation. It was...More

We found the McKissick to be a real waste of time. The Treme costumes were nice but seemed to have no relation to USC. Rest of the museum waas dull and freezing.

A hidden gem at the top of the horseshoe at USC. Guided tour provided as an introduction for families. We had no idea this was here....and free!

The exhibits are pretty mediocre and not quite worth the trouble to go to...they always sound better than they turn out to be. if you want a museum go to the State Museum downtown and skip this one.

We went to see the Native American display and saw great pieces of art from many Native American tribes. The museum is in a quaint part of the University of South Carolina campus.

The McKissick Museum is a beautiful building at the head of USC's Horseshoe. It is a wonderful visitor center and also doubles as a museum. The collections, while limited, are well done and informative.
