This is a wonderful park along the Saluda River where you can rent or put your own kayak/canoe in. Have a fun waterpark for the kids; trails to walk or run; a nature information center and a dog park, as well as many picnic shelters.

Though extensively flooded during South Carolina's recent "Thousand Year Flood," Saluda Shoals Park has made a nice recovery and is pretty much back in business as usual. The designers of this park really knew what they were doing when they built on this river floodplain. They expected the park to be flooded from time to time and built flood-tolerant infrastructure.... More

Nice well cared for park that offers shelters for picnics or rent. Playgrounds throughout. A splash pad during the summer ($3 per child per day) and loads of bike and walking trails. There are public restrooms available all over as well. It costs $5 per car to enter the park. This allows you all day access. Great for a day... More

Good place to take a walk or short bike ride. It has both paved and wooded trails that follow the Saluda River. Also has the option to rent a kayak or canoe. Splash pad and picnic shelters seem perfect for families and children. Everything is very well kept.

I've been here twice for departmental retreats and the conference facilities are basic but really nice. The large windows provide the meeting rooms with nice views to off set the working environment or occasion. Recently they added free guest wifi, which was awesome as well as ethernet cable access to one of the rooms so we were able to Skype... More

Nice park, easy to find, with some great walking trails. Unfortunately parts of the paved trail were closed for construction when we went, but the 3 mile R/T walk was nice. New playground and water-play area for kids was clean.

Whist staying on Lake Murray we visited the park. It is as beautiful and peaceful as other reviewers comment. The canoe hire was straightforward with good instructions. The only downside was that the canoe trip downstream to the pickup point was quicker than we'd been told so there was quite a wait for the van. It was very quiet when... More

We go to this park regularly and it's one of the best in the Columbia~ Lexington area. Has really good paved and unpaved nature trails for those who want an easy walk to those who want a challenge. The Saluda River is in the park and there are kayaks to rent or bring your own. There's also a dog park,... More

This is an absolutely wonderful park! All kinds of different activities, well maintained, clean clean clean. Great river access. We rented a canoe for few hours and took advantage of their shuttle service after a paddle on the Saluda River. Geocaching is also super fun out here with the kids!

Beautiful Park with great walking trail . Also has good picnic areas for family gathering. Meeting rooms available for meeting or social events. I would recommend to folks especially to ones who love the great outdoors.
