Whether you have young children or teenagers. I have both. This is a place good for both. We enjoyed the Zoo enough to visit for more then day. If you are in the area or close enough by to go more then once. I highly recommend a membership, which has some nice perks.

It was alright. Exhibits were very small. Lots to do, but they charge you for every little thing. Not worth the time in my opinion.

My grandchildren enjoyed their time at the zoo. We picked a weekend that had mild weather so we spent the entire day.

Nice zoo, but nothing spectacular. We are zoo people, and this one is very average as far as habitat design, size, and species selection. Nice day, but nothing spectacular.

We came in June and decided to purchase the family Explorer plus I believe. We can do everything..... ride the carousel, ride the pony, feed the birds, feed the giraffes and get a discount on items we purchase. Plus, we get free passes for friends and for lights before Christmas. I do pack a lunch in a small cooler and... More

Very nice zoo. Is was very hot day but there so many air-conditioned exhibit buildings, shade, and cooling stations we stayed cool. The array of animals is amazing. And they are close enough to be seen. There could be a few more snack vendors with more variety than cotton candy and popcorn. The botanical garden, actually the entire zoo and... More

I really enjoyed my visit to the zoo. I went mainly for the botanical garden but was a little disappointed. I shouldn't have been because I have been to some of the nicest gardens in the country. All in all it was a great day. Great place to take kids.

You get so much for you money at this zoo for one admission. The zoo, aquarium, botanical gardens, and a new huge kids splash play area. You can spend the entire day here. We arrived at opening so the animals were very active. The Sea Lion exhibit was very large and accessable to see. The aquarium was nice to go... More

I have been a Zoo member for over 20 years. I travel all over the US (and some Asia) for business and this is still one of the best. San Diego Zoo might be the only competition to this one. Recently upgraded entrance was very good. And maybe more importantly, adding a pedestrian bridge from the overflow parking to cross... More

This is by far one of the best zoos I have ever been too. It was a hot day but the zoo has many inside displays it was easy to be in an air conditioned building. Also there is a water park attached to the zoo that provides water falls and water features to cool off. Bathing suits are recommended.
