We were visiting SC for granddaughters graduation from Fort Jackson and had a few hours of time to kill so decided to visit the Robert Mills site. When arriving at the main site we had 3 options for tours that day and due to limited time we chose to visit the Woodrow Wilson site. We were the only ones in our tour group that day, so it was really enjoyable. I love history and hearing the stories of this family (spanning five generations) and the impact they had on the community, was very interesting. Our tour guide (Kathy, I think) seemed very knowledgeable. Loved the ghost structures on site too. I also wanted to mention the gentleman at the main gift store where you purchase the tickets for the site. I wish I remembered his name because he was a bowl of information on the history of Columbia and he spent a lot of time with us sharing some great stories and giving us recommendations . We were there the first Wednesday in April around noontime. Wish we would have had more time, as we would have toured the other sites too . If you like historical sites I would recommend, I believe they offer tours twice a day.…

We came by as part of the city's Civil War geocaching tour. Really impressed with the beautiful site and would not have known about this if it weren't for geocaching.
