The overlook over the Bald Rock is really cool, but the area has been destroyed by graffiti and vandalism. It's sad that people don't have the decency to maintain the beauty of a natural place like this.
There is a trash can here which was helpful for me to throw away a few things that were stuck in my car, but in general it was a short stop.

Fun to visit if you are on way to Caesars Head. Not really worth the curvy drive otherwise. A beautiful view, though. My friends tell me that in the 60s they would play "chicken" and race to the edge. The one who stopped closest to the edge (without going over) won. Gads! You should see the drop. I would not be the winner even in my craziest days.

Incredible views from Table Rock in Bald Rock Heritage Preserve. Unfortunately, because it is flat, lots of folks love to write on the rock. Still worth seeing.

I visited this spot recently and have stopped many times I pass it almost everyday living a few miles up the mountain from this spot
Never go at night. It seems to be a drug dealers delight.
Daytime is safe but there will be graffiti everywhere. Views are good but travel up the mountain 5-10 more minutes and see views at Caesar Head State Park Don’t waist your time at Bald Rock. . Ejevation is not that high.
You might run up on something you would rather not see

Off of the side of a windy road heading to Ceasar's Head, you can pull off the side of the road and stop here. Huge, smooth rock overlook. It is COVERED in graffiti. You either see it as artistic or trashed. Interesting to see, but not a must-see on my list. Good to stop here on the way to or from seeing the Ceasar's Head Overlook. Both free.

Just happened to catch a glimpse of this place as we were driving by. Turned around and "wow" what an experience. It was really foggy so we couldn't see the whole place. But I think it's the biggest rock I've ever seen in person. Besides my biceps of course.

One of the best mountain look offs, but sadly locals have covered it with graffiti. Well, you might like graffiti art.

My wife and I stopped here for our first outing. The views are heavenly. Yes the rock has graffiti all over it, but I didn’t go to look at it, but the glorious views of mountainous look. Take a blanket and small cooler and enjoy a few hours.

Bald Rock is one of the most easily accessible scenic Blue Ridge mountain "vistas" from Greenville. It's definitely worth the 40-45 minute drive from downtown, because even the ride to get there is scenic. I recommend checking it out around sunset. During the summer, I often head up and sit for an hour or so after a long day and watch the sun go down. It's really nice when you see the last rays reflect on table rock in the distance, and you can see Greenville's small skyline from there too. (FYI, if you make it to Bald Rock, just keep going another few miles up Hwy 276 to Caesars Head State Park, which has another really pretty view - also nice at sunset!)

After visiting Bell Mountain https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g35007-d11750479-r498388149-Bell_Mountain-Hiawassee_Georgia.html last week, I would say that Bald Rock Heritage Preserve is the cousin of it. Graffiti mountain, I call it. Although I am not sure that graffiti is welcome on Bald Rock like it is on Bell Mountain. I saw a lot of profanity on Bald Rock. Nevertheless, I think it's an easy overlook. There is really no hike though. Unless you want to get your fitness on, you could hike down below and and walk a bit and come back up, otherwise, not much going on. You do get a gorgeous view of Table Rock.

There is parking. However, no big signs or anything. I almost passed it. You will see a small wooden bridge leading you there.

For what it is, it is worth a stop.
