Just happened to catch a glimpse of this place as we were driving by. Turned around and "wow" what an experience. It was really foggy so we couldn't see the whole place. But I think it's the biggest rock I've ever seen in person. Besides my biceps of course.

Off of the side of a windy road heading to Ceasar's Head, you can pull off the side of the road and stop here. Huge, smooth rock overlook. It is COVERED in graffiti. You either see it as artistic or trashed. Interesting to see, but not a must-see on my list. Good to stop here on the way to or from seeing the Ceasar's Head Overlook. Both free. …

In my youth my parents would stop here to have lunch while we sat out on the rock, I can remember the views then as being able to imagine seeing the entire world from there. Of course, that was the thinking of my youth. Nevertheless, the view is breathtaking and that hasn't changed. Well worth a stop and judge for yourself, or at least if you have kids allowing them to imagine the entire world from up there.…

Go to view the sunset at Bald Rock Heritage Preserve. The sun sets over the Blue Ridge mountains and it is gorgeous. Even my kids loved the experience!

The views at Bald Rock were absolutely breathtaking! Will definitely visit it again! The kids loved it.
