The city of Clemson offers this free boardwalk path for viewing the lake with swings for a leisure rest. We've walked the shore line during a drought and now that the water is back to an acceptable level, famlies can watch ducks, fish and boaters. The path winds from the lake into the city if you just need a lunch break or you're seeking quiet time. Thank you, Larry Abernathy for your vision.

A nice long boardwalk around a Hartwell inlet with plenty of shade, a few places to fish, a canoe/kayak landing, and access to several restaurants.
Unfortunately the Army Corps manages this lake and it seems that for half the time this park has been built it should be called the Larry W. Abernathy Siltfront Park.
It's a 4-star place when the lake is full, but 2-star when it's not, so you better check the lake level before you plan to come and put in a boat or go fishing or you might be sorely disappointed.

I love it here. It's right in the center of town but never too crowded. It's an easy little walk with a wooden boardwalk that wraps around the edge of a pond. There are also many nice benches, multi-person swings and picnic tables to relax and enjoy the view.

Just a nice place to go for a quiet walk. It has a nice view of the docks and peaceful. You can’t go swimming in here. But I didn’t see anything else to do around.

We walked here while we were in the area. Nice board walk around the lake. We saw several turtles and fish in the water. Not a long walk but pleasant

Went for a picnic date and a walk around the water, was relaxing. I really loved the porch type swings located in strategic places that were nice to sit in and watch a sunset with the boyfriend.

Although the water levels are extremely low, the wooden walkways get you close to nature, swings for comfort and relaxation, and plenty of shade.

Who doesn't like a nice walk along the lake??? This is a wonderful walk around the edge of Clemson with several entry/exit points. Many of the entry/exit points are near restaurants making it easy to make this a nice afternoon walk. There are also numerous swings to relax in. I often take my greyhound for a nice walk along the lake in the park!

Neat little walk area around the lake. Don't know that I would call it a park. Nice walking area for an after dinner stroll, but nothing special otherwise.

Can we park a pontoon boat there and walk to night-time Clemson football game? In other words, is there a dock to park it at and are there hours when we cannot access the park and thus would not be able to get back to the boat after the game?
