Fun course

Really fun golf course. Very fair and wide open with great conditions. A few holes near lake are spectacular. Super friendly staff, small pro shop but great merchandise.

Very pretty course, fair (except #9), good shape, greens tough, staff friendly and overall a very good course. If in the area I recommend checking it out!

Beautiful course, disappointing greens
Jun 2019 • Friends
This is a beautiful golf course in good condition. Except for brown dead patches on some fairways, it is exceptionally scenic. Though not in play, the lake is in view on the last five holes. A variety of tees for all levels, including mysterious silver ones. Wide fairways, few trees and little water in play. Big greens. Nice practice area. The greens are slow (running maybe 8.5) and bumpy. The ball wanders left and right as it rolls out. It sometimes makes a crunching sound as it rolls off the putter. Odd that they traded smooth bent grass greens for this. Not a player's course, but fun for all.

Golf course in great shape and zoysia greens were fun to putt. Our guys group had a great time. This is a must play if you are ever in Clemson.

Great Course! Excellent Condition! Great Views!

Took my brother from out of town here for a round of golf. Course was in great shape. A little pricey compared to what he's accustomed to paying but it was worth the value for this level course. Beautiful views along the lake. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Course was challenging but not extremely hard. He really enjoyed it. It was a fun enjoyable round.

Great layout, condition and staff

Played with a group of buddies for the first time. The staff was very friendly, the range could use more targets, but they had separate putting and chipping greens which I like. The course was in great shape and has multi-sets of tees for you to play as easy or as challenging as you want.

The greens held a good shot from fairway or rough and were smooth to putt. The Fairways are generous and well maintained. The rough is not long but depending on the lie it can be quite challenging. Also, the par 3s are challenging especially the 17th hole which is right on the lake.

My only negative is not enough yardage markets as I would have liked. Make sure you have your range finder with you.

Over all a very nice experience and will definitely play again and recommend you play if you are in the area.

Best course in the area. On lake Hartwell
May 2016 • Friends
Quite a nice course! Kept in great shape. Good practice area, near #1 tee box. Tidy little pro shop and same for the grill at the turn. Back nine has several holes on the lake or with great view of the lake. Number 18 green is next to a wonderful restaurant, with nice indoor & outdoor seating.
Green fees are higher than other courses around, but not out of line.

A tale of two nines

Great course for all shots. Half a links type course half with long ang shot holes. Tiger paw traps form Clemson signature hole. Elevation, rolling hills, water and traps along Lake Hartwell. Hot in summer so play early. Great accommodations at Inn. Produced a college national championship team. Worth a drive over to tee it up.

Disappointed

A buddy of mine, who lives in that area, got me to come play there and needless to say I'll choose the course next time. Only had a couple of holes worth playing. The rest were bland and unimaginitive.

Two Courses in one Front Nine different from back nine
Nov 2014
Not the best place to play on a hot day even if its on the shores of Lake Hartwell. Front nine is in layout and back nine adds some length and shot making. The PAW hole is the signature hole and a great par 3 for Clemson fans. great accommodations. Excellent club like service. Played by a National Championship college golf team - Clemson.
