Honestly, we’ve never had a bad experience at the Gaillard. However, this experience was down right miserable. Not only do they REQUIRE vaccination, but being harassed constantly during a concert to put a mask on truly ruined the night. I could understand if the venue was packed, but it most definitely was not. At one point, we moved to the middle of our row as no one was in the row beside us and the rows in front and behind were EMPTY, a security guard came into the row to tell us to put a mask on. If the ushers and security guards put half an effort into looking after the guests (a lady was passed out with her head on the seat and other patrons came to help her but not one employee cared) then maybe I would have something positive to say.

Beautiful venue.
Comfortable seats.
Parking in garage is convenient but there is a charge & cars line up into street.
They need to improve their Covid procedures!
It's like going through an airport! Best to get there 1 hour before show.
Long lines to check Covid vax certs. (Yes, you need proof!) Or...you need to pay $25 for a rapid test; they have testing set up.
You're wanded for metals & weapons as well. Keys, belts, cells any metal sets them off creating even longer lines & waits!
Masks required!
A Coke is $7!!!!

This place is a jewel in Charleston - visiting from Nashville, TN, we were able to see the performance of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Their show was incredibly enjoyable and well received by the audience. What a beautiful place to be able to have these wonderful concerts. There’s not a bad seat in the house! Loved every minute of it.

A fine performance hall for enjoying the excellent Charleston Symphony and all that the Gaillard Center offers. Casual to dressy, doesn't matter, just come and enjoy the variety and art of performance. Ticket prices seem comparable to other similar venues we have attended. Easy parking.

Although we have seen past concerts and operas at Galliard during our visits from Myrtle Beach, now that we are living in Johns Island, we expect to come here more often. This was our first time to see the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, and they were superb. Acoustics were excellent, and all of the staff/ushers that we encountered were both friendly and helpful.

We saw Little Big Town last night and it was fabulous. Staff was great..everyone from the gentleman I spoke with to order tickets to the bartenders. There were 4 of us and we sat in one of the second level 4 person balconies and it was perfect.

The Gaillard Center is without a doubt lovely (and new). Where it falls flat is that one could reasonably expect (or hope) that a new concert venue would have been designed with decent sight lines - especially when you're starting from scratch and can do what you want. Alas, not to be. The first 8 rows or so are essentially flat so if you're in one of those your view of the stage is likely to be limited especially if somebody just a smidgin taller than you is in front of you. Saw a show and lost from view a third of the stage as a result. Acoustics were fine but then there were a battery of speakers on the side of the stage too, maybe to compensate for other criticism?. For decent seats in the orchestra try rows further back or if you can, get a box on the side as they only have 4 seats so great views. Avoid the top balcony as the railing is high. First balcony appeared to be a good bet as well. Sometimes the most expensive seats are not the best as in this case.

The wife, the daughter and I, went to see the Ten Tenors Christmas concert, which was one of the best concerts in recent memory.
First off the parking building is great. It provides plenty of parking spaces, easy in and out, and they don't gouge you with a $20 parking fee like other places in town. The Gaillard Center itself is a beautiful building with a stunning concert hall, and excellent acoustic. The seating is spaced perfectly so that the person in front of you is not blocking your view. If there is one complaint, is that there are no cup holders. Why allow drinks to be brought into the theater, than force guest to hold their bottles or cups throughout the entire event. This poor planing is why I could not give the Gaillard Center a 5 star.

As a local, and native, I actually graduated from high school at this venue. It's been completely redone and is absolutely lovely. There are many attractions held here - from wonderful Spoleto USA performances in the spring/early summer, and many other events. It has parking and is near many restaurants. A wonderful night out in downtown Charleston venue. Check the schedule and ticket box/office (onsite and online).

A direct answer to your question is, I don't know if there is a sale of reserved parking spaces for your event. I have never known there to be reserved parking for the general public.
It would seem to me that there is not need as there is a large nice maintained and operated multi-story garage directly next to the Center. Over the years we have never had a problem with parking. However if your event is a huge sell-out you may want to arrive early for a closer-in spot in the garage. There are close by restaurants and bars if needed.
