My girlfriend and I were visiting Charleston and after booking one to check the quality ended up playing ALL FOUR of the rooms here in two days. They were good to great rooms with a home made touch but a very intentional and corporate caliber. The two of us were able to beat all rooms with over 10 minutes remaining, but we have played quite a few rooms (she has played 20+ before these, and me around 60). Ransom was probably our favorite, but definitely try their Prison Escape before they change it out! It is full of fun Clues!

We had a great time, but got stuck on one of the clues. After our 60 minutes were up, the staff member explained the answer to the puzzle and said they were still tweaking to improve. The only other issue was that the room was small and it was hard for the four of us to see/work on clues at the same time. But it was very entertaining and we may go back to try another room while we are in Charleston.

The location was great and the staff was friendly. The instructions were clear and short. The escape room was challenging but with a relatively large party who had done escape rooms before we moved through it well. No hiccups or instructions from the control room because something hasn't been reset properly. All in all a fun escape room experience.

Shut down for two weeks for construction, but made no mention off this on their booking website. When I entered the date I wanted to go(with relatives in town), it automatically took me to a Wednesday two weeks in the future with no notice. After showing up for the experience, we were told they were closed and would reopen in two weeks. Obviously, our company was gone by then and I'm out $140. Such a poor job of communication on their part, and to allow folks to book on a date that was unavailable is uncalled for. Lesson learned.

We decided to try out the Roulette Escape, which was their newest room. Hannah, our hostess, was very friendly and did a wonderful job explaining the challenges of the room. The 6/10 difficulty rating was definitely accurate, although we were a party of 2 so it was obviously tougher for us 😅! In terms of challenge design, it's pretty linear, but each challenge is unique and creative. This is the 16th or 17th escape room I've done, but I definitely see why it's the top rated escape room company in Charleston! I'll have to swing by again next time I'm on this side of the Mississippi.

The staff is very easy to work with. Originally I had booked a time at 12, but had to move it to a later time slot in the day. Upon arrival we learned that a piece in the room was broken, and would take 15 mins to fix. We were offered to either wait, do another room or reschedule for a different day. All perfectly reasonable options. We decided to wait and was glad we did. The Davey Jones locker room was super fun and challenging without being overly hard for the two of us (myself and child 9) and we escaped with 35 seconds left!
The staff did a great job of communicating updates to us every 5 mins or so, and even gave my daughter some free swag once we completed the room. The rooms were cleaned in between groups and Escape in 60 has done a great job of adjusting their business model (all bookings are private groups now) to account for Covid restrictions.
Overall it was a great experience and we'll certainly do more escape rooms, but the customer service I received is why I'll go back and spend my money with this business.

We had a great time doing the Davey Jones' Locker escape room. Everyone in the family, even my young nephews, were able to help and we escaped in 40 minutes. We also loved that they had several riddles and puzzles in the lobby that we could do while we waited to start our escape room.

My group made a reservation that included two children five and under! The stuff we’re so accommodating and reassuring the whole way through. They were prompt and the payment process was such a breeze. We proudly broke out with 20:59 to spare and made the record for the week! The ransom room is definitely one to check out and is a great activity for everyone!

This escape room was awesome! The whole venue is top notch. When you walk in you can see how others are doing on completing their room. We almost made it out, literally on the last clue!! So much fun & will be back

I love Escape in 60! I have enjoyed playing all 3 of the rooms available at the moment (Super excited for the NEW room available very soon) , and I highly recommend this location for everyone's escape room experience. Ransom, in my opinion, is the most difficult but was my favorite to solve. This place is very clean, and you can tell that the employees take special care with sanitation. Can you Escape in 60?

Is this ok for someone that is claustrophobic?

Hi. Thank you so much for your interest in Escape in 60. Our rooms are about the size of an average-sized bedroom and participants are able to step out at any time if they desire. We have had many people escape with us before who have expressed they that are claustrophobic. The vast majority of these customers have felt completely comfortable in the room once the game begins. Our Prison Room & our Pirate Room are not scary and are family-friendly. Our Ransom Room is a bit creepy and I would not recommend it for younger kids.

I find it's best to have a group of 4-6 people. Any more than 6 just causes confusion because you can't keep up with who is looking for and finding clues. Usually, the Escape company will try to pair you with another group, which is what we did in Chattanooga. It's not awkward at all not knowing the other people because, once you're in the room, you're all working together to solve the clues.
