This theatre holds the coveted title of Charleston’s best theatre, given by the Post and Courier. Once you get there, you begin to see why. This isn’t like any other theatre - from concessions that include beer and wine to cool lounging areas to the small intimate (20-30 person) screening rooms - this is what theaters want to be when they grow up.

We have been there a couple of times. The quaintness is great . Loved the small cinema for serious or comedy movies . Elvis I would have preferred a better sound system. 👍👍 the location and eateries it’s surrounded by are top notch. Check it out!!

Took in a movie on vacation at this little theater. What a fun experience!

5 small theaters that seat 30 people each under one roof.

Screen is smaller than normal but the experience is what you are after here.

Full bar, candy concession, and popcorn in the lobby.

The only cinema on that side of town and the only wannabe 'indie art house theatre' in the metro area, the Terrace has some decent programming comprised of mainstream items as well as the occasional offbeat flick you might not find in the other cinemas in town. The audience seems to be a bit older, so they love feel-good movies, romances, European fare, and the like.

All good with the above, but the staff here never fails to come off as miserable and unhappy; is it such a horrible place to work?

In addition (no pun intended) , the pricing is way too high for both admission and concessions.

So as you go to sit for the movie, you just get that gnawing notion you're not welcome there and that your dollar could be better spent elsewhere.

I guess if you've never been to a big city indie moviehouse, this must seem so frickin' hip, but, for the rest of us, it's just a drag. I usually look first to see what's on at the Citadel Mall multiplex and go over there when we can.

Went tonight with my daughter to see Indiana Jones. No parking, Barbie is in the theatre so it took forever to get tickets, then we got tickets and it was in theatre 1 which has like 20 seats and they were full so we left.

So to go here:
1. Research if the pour house has anything going on as that will affect parking.
2. Don't go when there is a popular new release
3. Drive a small car as parking is limited

If you follow those rules its a good place

I really love seeing movies here. I worry that if too many people find out about this great place it will become too packed and too busy.

Great place with micro brews and great movie snacks

Clean theater too!

Again while awaiting to hear some on a Tuesday night, I came upon the Terrace Theater. Wow is all I can say. They have the freshest popcorn and the coldest white zifindel wine I have ever tasted. The inside theaters are decked out in theater sitting you wish you had at home. Nice leather seats with lots of space for your butt. Also the armrests accommodate your drink and popcorn. They show all the current movies. The price is a little higher than Regal an AMC but it was well worth it. A VERY POSH Adventure and I will be returning once the rain lets up.

While still catering to the hollywood blockbuster crowd the Terrace still shows enough quality cinema to make it a must g0 place. Superb seating along with great selection of snacks, beer and wine and great restaurants nearby.

The Terrace Theater was definitely an older style theatre. I liked the chandeliers. It was small and quaint with current movies. Being next to restaurants was nice as we had options nearby for dinner. There was a bar with couches and tables.

I loved this movie theater! It is very retro and the actual theater has a # of small theaters within so there are no bad seats. You can enjoy a glass of wine or beer prior to the movie in their lounge area.
