Boat rental for fishing trip for 4 hours was very reasonable. Very professional and incredible service. They met us at the marina, boat already docked and ready to go and even assisted us with carts to help load the boat. Boat was immaculate, ran great. They were very helpful in giving us suggestions on where to go. Would definately rent from them again!

We rented a 20ft Key West for 4 hours. We had a great time cruising the harbor and accompanying rivers. The SeaQuest owners described a suggested route to travel and provided both a map/chart and an onboard GPS. That said it was still a bit confusing once out on the open waterway. We were able to anchor off Drum Island and swim and explore a bit. We saw dolphins close to the boat a few times:)
The Key West is a lightweight boat, rough water was a bit of a challenge! I’m an experienced boater, therefor maneuvering (docking, cruising, anchoring and gassing up) were no problem. Keep in mind you’ll have no assistance with these tasks once you leave Bristol Marina. This activity isn’t for the easily intimidated, but is great for those seeking a little adventure and wanting a different view of the city. Sunny day in Charleston? Rent a boat with SeaQuest!

Made a reservation a day in advance for a Thursday. After talking with Gary, I went to the website to make the reservation. Got a confirmation email. The boat was clean and Gary easy enough to deal with. The boat has a depth-finder (a must for the local waterways, a GPS chart and paper charts). This was the second company I have rented from in the last two weeks and definitely the better of the two. The other company had too many restrictions on where we could go, the boat cushions were not clean, and the outboard squealed loudly off and on during the time on the water. Gary's only restrictions were not to go into the ocean and the engine was so nice. You couldn't even hear it running in idle. It is a tad more expensive than the other company and, unlike the other company, you need to bring the boat back full requiring a marina stop somewhere. But, this is where I will rent from in the future. I can understand why Gary has all excellent reviews.
On a side note, pay attention to the confirmation email (I did not). It will tell you the specific address to park your car. I parked at the closest parking lot to the marina and ended up with a $14 parking ticket for exceeding 4 hours parking.

I had a horrible experience with this company and do not recommend them. I booked a boat a month in advance with a captain and they canceled our first booking and then canceled our second booking (replacement boat we didn’t want) not even 24 hours in advance after we drove hours to get to the beach for this special occasion. It sounded like they were making up excuses and they are completely unreliable. Horrible company! Look elsewhere.

I was excited to propose after a romantic picnic on the water but not it’s not happening with SeaQuest! I reached out via website and made a prior reservation weeks in advance, even followed up with a phone call and Gary tells me he only rents to boat owners. I’ve spent just about my whole life on the water, my father is a longshoreman, and i’m not some college kid looking to party on spring break. I offered to take a class and even obtain a boat license prior to coming and he still refused saying people can get a boat license online. I even ask about hiring captain for charter and he says “I’ve only got two and they’re booked that week”. I’m sure he didn’t even know or care to know the day I needed to reserve. So disappointed in this company for ruining my proposal plan, if you “only” rent to boat owners you need to advertise that!!!

Gary and his wife were justperfect. From booking through boat preparation, ideas, for tours, all of hit. The boat performed flawlessly, and Gary's suggestions for cruises were spot on. It helped that the weather was perfect that day. The boat was clean, spacious and handled well. Will definitely be renting again!

visiting Charleston for the first time. I often rent boats when on vacation. This was the best experience I have ever had. Gary was just terrific. The boat was immaculate and ran perfect. He patiently provided instructions. His price was very reasonable.
We ran up the Ashley a good ways......had a packed lunch, then headed out into the bay. We saw tons of dolphins all day. We took great pictures of the bridges, the Yorktown aircraft carrier as well as Charleston and Ft. Sumter.
The GPS and maps made it all easy as I had never been on the water in Charleston before.
We had our 3 year old grand-daughter and Gary made sure we had the right life jacket for her.
Thanks Gary!

Two couples rented the 20.5 foot boat for eight hours. Great sightseeing in the Charleston Harbor. The included maps and GPS were outstanding. Had a great lunch at a place 1 mile off the harbor on the north side. Had never been on the harbor before but found lunch site easily with recommendation and directions from the rental owner. Then traveled back to the bridge by the marina and proceeded approximately 20 to 25 miles south and east to a prime sand beach recommended by the owner. Cost for gas was $59 which was so low I made them try to put more gas in the tank, but it was indeed full. Everything on the boat worked fine. Very stable and smooth craft. Boat was ready to go on time and check-in and checkout was very easy. Had to rearrange the date due to historic flood in October 2015, but this was no problem.

My family and I rented the Sea Hunt 20.7 for the day. Gary and his wife met us at the dock in the morning. They were both a pleasure to work with and very organized... we were on the water in no time. The boat is well-maintained, well-equipped, and easily accommodated the 5 of us comfortably. We will definitely be renting the boat again soon. Thanks!!

Gary and his wife had everything ready to go when we showed up. They were very knowledgeable about the Charleston waterways and very eager to give us solid recommendations on routes. The boat itself was very clean and in fantastic working condition. Me and my party had a blast. The prices were fair and reasonable. Can't wait to rent again!

I have a family vacation planned. On 7/5 and 7/6 we will be in charleston sc staying at the Marriott. I There are 6 adults and possibly 7. There are 7 grandchildren. Do you have a boat that could accommodate that many nd if so what would the cost be for a half a day? My phone is 765/650.0891
