I can confidently say as a local to Charleston, this is the most fun I have ever had at a dinner in the city. Not to mention, the food was amazing. My face actually hurt from smiling so hard the entire time. You may think the price is steep when booking but it is far from it! We had around five glasses of wine each, two entrees each, and two desserts. There is no five star restaurant in Charleston that you can get this much food and four hours of entertainment like this. Chef Bob is a natural entertainer and you will instantly love him! He makes the entire experience fun and never rushes anyone, he genuinely enjoys the conversation throughout and lets it all flow. I will definitely be doing this again with any friends or family that come into the city. JUST DO IT, you won't regret it!

What a fun evening! I’m not the cook in the family, but even I had a blast cooking with Chef Bob! Along with six others, we prepared delicious shrimp and lamb dishes, along with a pastry dessert, all accompanied with appropriate wines. Chef Bob kept us on our toes with useful cooking tips and interesting stories. My husband and I will definitely do this again!

We had a business meeting with 9 members so we decided to join chef Bob’s class one evening. It was superb! Bob was funny and entertaining and the food was fabulous. I plan to take my family next time I am in the area.

This was a birthday present from our daughter to my wife while we vacationed in Charleston. It was a wonderful evening filled with new friendships, great stories from Chef Bob, and, of course, fantastic food! It was a VERY enjoyable evening. He is booked months out so you certainly have to plan ahead but it is well worth the effort.

Had an amazing evening on a Tuesday night. Chef Bob is a great host and an awesome teacher. Shrimp, lamb, and a tart we're all excellent. Super fun and low stress. Would highly recommend to anyone in Charleston to go.

Chef Bob was great. He accommodated our group of ten for a corporate team build. He was very professional, organized and fun. The food was excellent and his style of teaching was perfect. The wine pairing was a nice addition. I would recommend and schedule again in the future.

Amazing cooking class! We had such a wonderful time with wonderful company. We made shrimp, steak and desert which was all accompanied by delicious wines. Bob was a wonderful teacher making the class very straightforward but hands on. Would 100% recommend!

I'm in the Kitchen with Chef Bob
I ate at Husk, SNOB, McCrady and more. But the best part of my culinary trip to South Carolina was in the kitchen with Chef Bob. He is delightful, knowledgeable and fun to learn from. We served up salmon tartare; duck salad with berries, pecans, peaches and snap peas; loup de mer with orange saffron, apple tart with ice cream etc.
No pressure. "It's all good!" One part fun; one cup laughter, 4 quarts learning, and a joy for cooking. Let's eat! Definitely a six-star meal. I say put him on the road, first stop DC, and I'll pack his kitchen with devotees.

We booked a cooking class for our group on Sept 13. I had spoken with Bob on the phone a couple of times, he had emailed us a couple of times and he had my cell number and had texted Sept 11 that all was good. Hurricane Florence was still in the Atlantic so everyone was watching the weather but it never did affect Charleston. Had he just let us know he was not holding class because of the hurrication, we would have understood and not driven into Charleston from Isle of Palms. I texted Sept 12 as we left for the airport and again when we landed. The next day was our class and we arrived to find the place dark. I texted him and first he said he thought it was next week. Then he said he had cancelled the class and notified everyone but he had not! He had 3 ways to contact us and had NOT! Then said "sorry you're there, my bad". That's it! No offer to reschedule (since we were there for a week) or anything! We had been really looking forward to this experience and needless to say our group was very disappointed.

My wife and I recently had a enjoyable evening with some old and new friends while learning some Chef secrets from Bob. He has a wonderful setup that is designed to make sure each participant/guest is a chef for the evening which includes preparing your meal in it's entirety. Bob is a great host in addition to his vast knowledge as a Chef from time in France as well as the US. He imparts little tricks of the trade while guiding us all through the preparation of our various dishes. He has a great sense of humor and it pairs well with his cooking knowledge and host for the evening. He starts out with offering some bubbly to get the meet and greet going spending time to chat with everyone and to make you feel at home. He then explained the plan for the evening and then lead us through the preparation of our delights for the evening in our case Red Snapper with a fresh salsa preparation and asparagus. He imparts secrets of the trade on how to prepare the asparagus ahead of time while maintaining its color and texture. Needless to say, the dish was great and my favorite of the evening. Our second offering included lamb chops with a bed of green beans and other preparations to include a stock that Bob had cooked all day for this dish....something he said is almost a lost art in the restaurant business today. Almost forgot, we started the evening helping to prepare the wine syrup that would cook down during our evening to be added to our fresh berries and yes Bob's ice cream.....WOW! Give it a try you will have so much fun and Bob makes sure your glasses are full of wine!
