We recently returned from our first trip to Charleston, SC. What made the trip extra special was 2 photography sessions with Kristin. We did a sunrise session at Botany Bay with tree tunnel photos, as well. We did an evening, sunset photo session - photographing some boats at the dock, the Ravenel Bridge at sunset, the Pineapple Fountain and did some light trails downtown. Kristin took us to some great spots, instructed on camera settings as needed and suggested other places for us to go and photograph the following day, as the azaleas were in bloom. Kristin has lived in Charleston for 10+ years and is a wonderful teacher, patient and kind.
Another great treat is that my husband was able to be a guest at no additional charge. I would highly recommend this photography experience.

Tiffany was an excellent teacher. I felt like I learned so much and can't wait to be able to go out and use what I learned. She was so encouraging and patient. I had a great time and would highly recommend anyone that wants to learn about photography to schedule some time with Tiffany.

Charleston is an iconic and perennial touring location for all the good reasons, but I was looking for something a little out of the ordinary when I discovered the Backroads Excursion with CPT. Tiffany was our tour guide (2 in the group) and I could not have been more pleased. Her sincere and joyful attitude set the tone for a fun adventure, but she is also a skilled and resourceful professional who brought out the best in our photography. Her extensive knowledge of the area allowed her to adapt to changing light and weather conditions and place us in the perfect locations for some really great shots. Her suggestions on composition and camera settings proved to be game changers and I will incorporate them in my photography from now on.
This tour was a fun and rewarding experience for me and I definitely got more out of it than I expected. I look forward to joining CPT for another adventure but I will need to register soon because most of their tours are already full.

Excellent morning with Kristin. Her instruction and coaching skills were exactly what we hoped for as we worked to improve our photography skills. She had infinite patience with both my wife and I, truly a great teacher. I will continue to work with her to better my skills.

Keith picked me up in front of my hotel right on time. We got to a great spot on a driftwood beach for sunrise. Also a great spot on the tree tunnel road. We were the only ones there. He was willing to stop anywhere that the lighting looked good. He also had some good suggestions for composing images for each location.

I love photography but typically don't have the confidence to take my setting off of manual, so try to learn whenever I can. I was looking for a way to capture the southern charm of Charleston so decided to look up a photo tour. I feel so blessed to have found this tour! The booking process was easy and Tiffany got back to me really quick to confirm and discuss my interests and skill level. I chose to do the sunset Oak and Ruins option she suggested and so glad I did! Not only was Tiffany so much fun and a great teacher, she and her husband take time to find out of the way places ("gems") you may never find on your own. The places we visited were stunning and encouraged creativity. I learned so many valuable tips that will take my photography to a new level. I feel so grateful for my time with Tiffany and for the new confidence I have in shooting. She is really talented and definitely has a passion for what she does - it is contagious. Don't hesitate to book this tour - you won't regret it!

Peyton was terrific and going to Bone Yard was the best. We went at Sunset and opted to stay on the beach instead of moving back to the boardwalk. The soft colors that blanketed the beach silohoutting the trees was magnificent. I highly recommend this Bone Yard trip to everyone. Peyton was also great at providing ideas for other great photo spots and was very helpful with suggestions for composition and settings. Worth every penny!

We only had a short time to explore Charleston and nearby locations, so we were very lucky to find Charleston Photography Tours! Tiffany Briley was very professional, yet personable and patient on the phone with me, as I had to decide which tour to select. She also responded to phone messages very quickly, despite being busy with upcoming program planning. We were fortunate to have a wonderful Photography Guide, Peyton Smith, who was enthusiastic and a great teacher for my beginning photographer husband. Peyton made sure we had directions/addresses and was very accessible by cell phone if we needed her. We got some beautiful images, which I am still processing! But Peyton's suggestions for composition and processing ("these look great in black and white!") were spot-on. Our only regret? That we didn't have time to take additional tours with this company. Highly recommended for beginners, intermediate, and advanced photographers (even those with cell phones!).

What a neat way to see the beauty of the area and work on your photography skills! Tiffany was a great guide, full of helpful tips to improve my composition and detail. You could tell she loves what she does, and she shared her artistry with us. I used both a cell phone (Galaxy S9) and a Sony CyberShot to get some great images. She was able to optimize the photos with both cameras. On top of her photography skills, she was a pleasure to tour with. Recommend this to anyone who appreciates natural beauty and loves to take photos.
