Great time! I liked learning the history of the food of Charleston! Mary was a very well educated guide.

Took the Ghost and graveyard tour. I am torn because our guide Paulette was absolutely delightful- but as far as a quality tour it failed. One story relevant to a location on the entire tour. We kept stopping in parking lots and while her personal experience was entertaining it had absolutely no bearing on where we were or what we... More

Thank you for the feedback. We love Paulette! She is a great tour guide! We are sorry you didn't enjoy the tour. I'm shocked really, as everyone loves Paulette's tour! But, we understand that these tours are not for everyone. Yes, our price is $25 per person, which we base in comparison of other attractions in the area. We are... More

We arrived at the tour office to find out that my husband and I were the only ones on the tour this morning. Private tour for cheap price - scored! Our tour guide was Beth. She was very knowledgeable, not only about food. During our walking tour, she pointed out a lot of other historical highlights. Some we had already... More

Thank you for the review. I'm glad you liked the tour overall. Most of the tours go into four rooms. Did you go in less than that? Four rooms is about 10 minutes per room with an intro out front. Please let me know if you saw less. Thank you for the feedback. More

The Old Charleston jail tour is well worth the time and money. The guides are very knowledgeable and make the tour fun. It is perfect for all ages but might be a little spooky for younger kids only b/c there are no lights except for the flashlight of the guide. I recommend this tour to anyone.

Wonderful HISTORICAL review of Charleston...with ghosts/wondering spirits. Our guide was friendly and knew their history. Of course we had to wonder on our own, with delicious gelato, to see if we could roust some spirits.

This is a city with a deep food history and this tour gives access. Our guide, Sarah, introduced us to this history over grits, spices and seafood.highly recommend it.

Upon heading all of the rave reviews of the tour I thought it was a must-do. You essentially walk through an old building that has nothing on the inside. There are a couple of new replicas of jail cells and some ropes hanging from ceiling in one room but that's about it. The guide had good stories but lacked in... More

We are sorry you didn't enjoy the Haunted Jail Tour. We have not "renovated" the building and unfortunately, most of the original interiors, like the cells, were removed when the jail was closed sometime in the the 1940s. We did include some replicas so that people could get a good idea of what it was like, but we didn't want... More

Absolutely wonderful tour! We are locals here in Charleston and won tickets for this tour from my work. My wife and I couldn't have had a better experience. Our guide, Mary, has been doing this for 30 years and grew up in Charleston. The tour starts downtown around market street and visits several restaurants, the Spice Exchange, and a sweet... More

This tour is an absolute must when visiting Charleston for the first, or even second time. You are guided through several sections of the city with tour guides who are personable and well versed in Charleston's history and how the architecture and politics shaped the city.
