Look elsewhere for your boat rental! I had doubts about renting from here based on other reviews but the options were limited so we did. The boat they provided us had no depth gauge and no navigation which we were told when we stepped on the boat. (They gave us a hand held navigator so they could track us but the tiny 1 inch screen was illegible in the glaring sun so was futile for us). Right away the employee made sure to show us the propeller saying they had just installed a new one. When we got back the employee looked at the propeller first thing and showed us scuffing on the propeller (a silver border on the black blade) and said we grounded the boat and will be charged $500 in damages. We immediately contested it because we absolutely did not ground the boat. Employee #1 who informed us of the charge at the boat dock said “I’m just the messenger, you’ll have to talk to my boss in the office.” We did and he (employee #2) then handed me a business card and said there was nothing he could do about it “you’ll have to talk to my boss.” (That whole hand-off was unsettling in and of itself). Before I got a chance to call employee #3, #2 called and said he talked it over with his boss and they would reduce the charge to $250.00. Not good enough... accused of something we didn’t do and given a boat without working working equipment. My husband who drove the boat is a seasoned boater and we have rented boats regularly on vacation from several different companies over the years. We have never had a single problem with any of those businesses. Renter beware of this one.…

Nice boats with good equipment, however they will do whatever they can to find a way to add additional charges to your trip. Save your money, go somewhere else.

We rented an 18-foot Key West open bow with a 120 hp Suzuki outboard for $250 for 4 hours. The company and people were nice, efficient and professional. They provided a GPS and went over the chart of the area waters, pointing out landmarks, sites to see and warnings about sandbars, cargo ship lanes, winds, etc. The boat was in good shape. It had a digital gas meter, so we didn't have to brave the fuel dock up at the Ashley River Bridge. We went up the Ashley to I-526 and back, up Whapoo Creek to the Stono cut and back, down the harbor to Morris Island and over to Sullivans Island and back. It was fun, but you better pay attention to the channels and sandbars and be prepared for choppy water and currents in the main harbor -- especially in a small craft.…
