My wife and I booked a private sunset sail with Charleston Sailing Adventures on Easter Sunday. Our captain, Phil, was outstanding! He did a great job pointing out historical landmarks we passed, had funny and interesting stories, and also did a great job of letting us take in the scenery. It was a little windy that day so we were initially curious if the ride would be rough but Phil could not have been better at making sure it was a smooth sail. We even saw 5 dolphins! To cap it off we brought our own wine but forgot cups and Phil had some handy for us. Would highly recommend! But as Phil said never have airtight plans right after your trip is to end just in case anything goes over time. Also make sure to use the bathroom before.

An awesome sunset cruise. The crew - Colin and Laura - were so friendly, knowledgeable, engaging and fun. The scenery was beautiful, the catamaran was awesome ~ felt very safe. I have lived in SC for over 40 years & own a second home in Mt Pleasant. Had friends in town so we thought this would be a fun thing to do. If you are visiting Charleston (or live there) I highly recommend the sunset cruise ~ so different to see the city from the water. Again, can't say enough about Colin and Laura they made the trip so memorable!

Wanted to do a sunset cruise on our girls trip to Charleston. After some research we decided on the sunset sail with Charleston Sailing Adventures and beyond thankful we did. To say amazing is an understatement. The captain and his first mate were so friendly, attentive and focused on giving us the best experience on our sail. From bringing us our drinks, to sitting with us to share some history and sites and then taking the best pictures so we’d have the memories of this fabulous night. Not to mention pointing out the dolphin on the side of the boat when we departed the dock. Even slowed down so we could all get a look!!

You will not regret booking with Charleston Sailing Adventures regardless of which boating experience you choose. But the sunset sail is a bargain and would have paid double for that expensive!!

The private sunset charter was incredible! They were friendly and knew exactly what they were doing - they were even able to teach our local group a little something about the islands in the harbor. They took multiple great pictures of our group and were incredibly accommodating. I highly recommend Charleston Sailing Adventures to anyone looking for a unique way to see the beautiful city of Charleston.

We had a reservation for a private daytime sail on a day they were expected rain. They were i contact with us saying they'll watch the weather. The rain held up and we did go out on the water. It was beautiful and really nice. Then there was a small craft advisory. They take safety precautions first so we had to return early after about 30-45 minutes out. We really enjoyed the short trip but they said they'd refund us since we didn't go out the entire time. They definitely have fantastic customer service and we'll book another trip our next visit to Charleston!

I booked a private 2 1/2 hr charter sail for a group of 6 people. We were able to all fit comfortably on the sail. I forgot our captain's name but she was amazing and so friendly! We sailed across to a remote area where other charters were located near a beach. Our group members were able to swim to the beach and back with ease. I would highly recommend booking a ride for >2hrs to have enough time to fully enjoy the sail. I would definitely do it again!

We chose Charleston Sailing Adventures because they were able to accommodate a larger group for a private sailing at an affordable price. The booking was easy. They had a cooler with ice on board so we could store beverages. As soon as we pulled out, we saw dolphins playing in the water and saw more later on in the tour. Even though it was a cloudy day, it was still lovely to be out on the water in the fresh air. The two guys who captained our sail were also accommodating when one person in our group was feeling motion sick. Overall, it was a nice way to see Charleston from the water for a couple hours.

We had an absolutely unforgettable sunset tour of the Charleston harbor. Brian was the perfect captain, giving us an incredible balance of interesting facts about the harbor and time to enjoy the peace and quiet of a sailboat watching the sun set over the city. I cannot recommend this highly enough for anyone visiting Charleston!!

My mom and I were visiting Charleston for 4 days. On the first night we booked a sailing tour with Charleston Sailing adventures. The boat was set to take off at 6:30 and we arrived at 6:15. The parking lot was under construction and we had to find street parking which took us about 10 minutes. We raced to the sailboat and we stood at the end of the dock at 6:35 while we watched them push off and sail away without us. After calling and talking with the owner, we were extremely disappointed to find out he would NOT refund us. His reason being “everyone else was able to be here on time so there’s really no way for me to refund you”. $150 dollars lost and our first night in Charleston was ruined.

Booked a private day sail on Prevailing Winds on an afternoon that turned out to be unexpectedly stormy. Jenny contacted us about the potential for bad weather and met us at the dock where we decided to rebook for the next day. Great communication throughout! Next day we sailed with Phil who was a wealth of information about the area and kept us entertained throughout. Ask for his "Blues Rap." Great time was had by all. There is a small cooler on board if you want to bring any drinks. Great experience.
