The owner is a great wealth of knowledge and information. His personality is great in making you feel like you are sharing moments with family and not on an educational field trip. Great tour for first time visitors.

I had done this tour some time ago and enjoyed it immensely. The tour guide is hilarious, funny, knowledgeable and very friendly. We had an amazing time. This is a definite for anyone who is interested in the Gullah and African American history of Charleston.
