We took the morning history tour on our first day in Charleston, Wed. Aug. 10. As Bostonians, we were unfamiliar with much of the history that is presented outside and inside the city's walls. It started as a rainy morning but Jeff is so passionate about HIS city that his zest for history and love of the city made the... More

My family and I enjoyed this tour very much. It was a "splash and dash" kind of day which is what Jeff referred to it as. We learned a lot about the architecture of the buildings and a little history of some of the residents. We really appreciated seeing the churches and learning about them. I would highly recommend this... More

Jeff led our group of 6 for two hours giving us information and history. He is well educated and presented the locations, architecture and people of early Charleston with enthusiasm and detail. I highly recommend this fantastic tour.

My husband and I went on this tour while on a day-trip to Charleston. We were very impressed with the guide and his extensive knowledge and experience! It was my husband's first visit to Charleston and made for a wonderful historical background for our visit. Recommend highly!

I wanted to beat the heat by taking an evening walking tour and stumbled upon Jeff's tour via Internet search. Boy did I get lucky! The tour is about 1.5 hours, and Jeff really knows his history and delivers the information with energy and passion. A++ Thanks, Jeff!

Thank you Scott! We experienced the hottest July on record in Charleston. If you visit Charleston again, Spring and Fall is a very delightful time in the Holy City. Always have new material to work with! Best, Jeff Zimmerman Charleston in a Nutshell More

Is was a great pleasure meeting you Jan. I am always happy to share the story of Charleston (good and bad) with lovers of history. Hope you do come again, preferably in Spring or Fall when the temperatures are much more agreeable! Thank for your review. More

Jeff is very interesting and knowledgeable. He has been doing this a long time, but what comes through is his professionalism, enthusiasm, and love for his city, without a hint that he is at all tired of repeatedly relaying the same info to tourists. Even with the summer heat, this tour is so much better than bus tours I have... More

I really enjoyed how Jeff spoke about all kinds of different subjects. He spoke about history, architecture, the city's involvement in both the revolutionary and civil wars, the local plants and flowers, the population and more. He was a great tour guide. I'm glad I went. A city is more enjoyable when you know something of its history. Jeff can... More

We had a group of 9 and had a wonderful time. Plenty of history and a easy walk through Historic Charleston. Plenty of opportunities to get water, sit down, get down AC during the hot summer. Jeff is wonderful and knows a lot about his town.
