We had a great tour with Charlie. This was different from other tours I have been on and this was perfect for the heat of the day. Others I have been on we stopped at 8 places and had a sample at each. On this hot day, we only went to 4 places but at the first we had 2... More

I had never done a culinary tour before, and this was beyond my expectations. We visited 3 different reataraunts, one with American cuisine, barbecue, and French. We then finished off the culinary tour with gelato. Everything was walking distance and we learned some really cool history along the way. I would definitely recommend this activity to all the foodies out... More

Our guide was knowledgeable about the food, familiar with the people of the neighborhood and his personality enhanced the flavor of the experience.

I took the Mixology tour about three weeks ago now and really enjoyed it. It was a nice way to discover one of Charleston's neighbourhood (our guide gave us very informative explanations about the development of Upper King Street and quirky anecdotes about some of the establishments on the street) and places to hang out in the evening for drinks.... Errrggghhhh is an approximation of the sound that each of us made for several hours after the tour had finished. Whilst not yet in the Oxford English Dictionary, " Errrggghhhh" is defined as the sound one makes when one has cosumed far too much excellent food and is struggling to walk, talk or even think properly. Glen was a hugely... More

Charley Boyd provided a great tour of the Upper King Street area and in addition to tasty food, provided a great historical tour of Upper King. She wove in the history of food in the Low Country and made it all make sense. This was one of the most interesting things we did on our trip to Charleston and would... More

Four of us took this culinary tour together. I expected a downtown tour but discovered that we were touring Upper King Street, which turned out to be even better because we were able to get the history of the growth of the culinary industry in Charleston, and the growth of Upper King Street. We visited three restaurants and a gelaterie.... More

Resturants were nice. Our tour guide was Guilds and was friendly and spoke loud which was nice. The only thing I wish he talked more about the chefs and kitchens of the resturants and less of himself. The Smoke BBQ was the best, very well organized and loved that the chef came and talked to the group.
