We initially scheduled our 2 hour inshore charter for Thursday, but our daughter got stuck in the airport, so I contacted Captain Shane to see if we could reschedule and he responded immediately and allowed us to book it on Friday.
Captain Shane was very communicative throughout the process and was boat launch waiting for us even though we arrived 10 minutes early. He drove us into a creek and within less than 5 minutes, our daughter had a 4lb red drum in the boat. 2 minutes later, another 4lb red drum. Within the first thirty minutes we caught red drum, black drum, speckled trout and sheepshead.
For a 2 hour charter, I would have been very please with that. When the fishing in the creek slowed down, Capt. Shane took us to another spot near where the container ships were unloading. For the next next 45 minutes, it was "fish on"! Multiple times, our daughter and I had fish on at the same time. Here, we caught a ton of red drum, some sheepshead and black drum. The highlight of the day was when our daughter hooked into a 10lb black drum. She struggled to get the fish in, so Capt. Shane jumped in and landed the fish for her. WOW!
I know it was only a 2 hour charter, but we were catching so many fish, so fast at the end, Capt. Shane let us run over on time a bit. We finally ran out of bait and headed back in.
I would like to thank Capt. Shane for his service in our US Air Force and for giving our daughter a fishing experience she will not soon forget. Capt. Shane was pleasant, knowledgeable and obviously knows where to catch fish. As a family, we could not have been more satisfied.

This was our first visit to South Carolina and we booked a trip with Captin "Coach" Charlie. He did a great job at not only communicating the necessary time and info. needed for the trip but taught us (family of 4 from Louisiana, three adults and teenager) a thing or two about fishing in saltwater and had the skills to help us have a good catch of fish for the day and make some memories for our family.

Booked 2 weeks ago, drove all the way from Charlotte with a 7yo and an 8yo who have been so hyped to go shark fishing. Left 3 voicemails in 2 weeks, no call back. Morning of, drove to location I received in ALL auto confirmation emails. No one there. Call office when charter is supposed to start, someone answered and said let me try and contact the captain and call you back. 15 minutes passed no call back. I called back and they still had not been able to get in contact with the captain. Other charters at the dock also tried contacting the owner of the company for us. He said he would call as soon as he had an update. No phone call from the owner of the company. 20 minutes after our charter was supposed to begin, we get a call from the young lady in the office saying there was a scheduling issue and the captain is already on the water with another charter. No offer for a discount for a later time but instead expected us to sit around another 3 hours to go later in the day in the middle of the day in the hot sun when I booked early morning for a reason. So now I have two young boys absolutely crushed and a completely wasted day on our vacation. Still no call from the owner to apologize!!!!!!

Had a wonderful time on our 4 hour fishing experience with Captain Allan, Highly recommend this charter organization. The Captain was so courteous and knowledgeable. When booking the trip, which was done last minute by phone since there was no available time listed as available online for the dates we would be there, the staff was friendly and helpful. We caught a lot of fish and had fun!

We were lucky enough to be teamed up with captain David. He is very professional and personable. He showed patients and compassion and the man has a genuine love for fishing! We will definitely be back and we will absolutely be requesting captain David. And as with any great captain, David is safety first! We all caught a shark

Spent the day with Captain Shane Flannigan chasing red fish. I've fished my whole life and can honestly say this one of the best guided trips I've ever taken. He worked super hard to find the bite. Once we did, we landed 5 nice red fish over 24 inches. Can't wait to hit it again.

We had such an amazing day fishing with captain Shane! Unfortunately the trip was planned for my husbands birthday but a storm blew through Charleston. Shane was so accommodating to change the date. He made sure we were well prepared for our charter the night before. Shane took us to all of his secret spots and knew exactly when it was time to move onto the next. He was thoughtful, attentive, knowledgeable and so much fun to be with! Would 100% recommend using him!

It was a terrible day with wind and rough water. Captain Lee told us it might be a rough day. He took us out and put us on fish. It was fun to catch trout, shark and Ladyfish. My kids had a great time! I just wish we could have stayed in SC longer to re-book another day. Captain Lee is a great guy and told us about the history of places we went by. Will definitely do it again and will request Lee.

My son and I had the pleasure of fishing ( inshore) with Capt. Charlie Patterson with The Reel Deal Charters in Charleston SC. Charlie was very knowledgeable, professional, courteous and just a pleasure to fish with. If you are looking for somebody to put you on some fish, Capt. Charlie is your guy. I highly recommend!

Does anyone have feedback on the Shark Tooth Hunting experience? We are thinking about booking a 4 hour fishing trip and then a 2 hour shark tooth hunting trip the next day. Wondering if that is overkill? Kids are 14 and 11 and love to fish.
Thanks
