Last night's opening of the current season was tremendous! Duke Ellington album recorded with Frank Sinatra was recreated with the CJO and guest singer, Reuben, of American Idle fame! Who knew what a crooner Reuben could be-matched with the talents of the CJO! It should have been recorded!! Next month is Nat King Cole's music sung by his brother, backed... More

Always a great place a small venue to see a variety of acts. Last saw Mississippi All Stars!, So much fun being up close and personal. Parking not easy but a parade is close with many places to eat close by. Makes for a fun evening

The whole reason I visited the city was for a concert here. We picked up our tickets at the will call window and went inside. It is small for a music hall which made the setting so intimate. The inside is clean and the acoustics are very good. We had an issue with some other concert attendees and spoke to... More

WOW! This may be the very best Christmas show I have seen. The talent was evident in each performer. The show was lively and dancing with costumes were terrific. Serious music, comedy, and spiritual numbers were abundant throughout the show. Stay at the Hampton Inn Historic District as it is just across the parking lot!

Went to the Charleston Christmas Special. This was the fifth time we have gone, and this was the best performance to date. The theater has very good acoustics which made the show quite enjoyable. Not a bad seat in the house. Aside from the featured singers, the rest of the cast showcased local talent. If you are in town the... More

What a gem! Lovely theater, comfortable seats, great sound in a historic setting. The Christmas show was excellent! If you were not in the Christmas spirit after this show I don't know what will do it. I'll be back next year.

Wow! Great concert. First time at this venue. It's small but has a lot of character. Very personable experience. Only downside was the size of the lobby area which made getting to concession stand or bathrooms a burden. But don't let that stop you from coming. Great opportunity to see some good acts up close.

Charleston Music Hall is located nearly across from the east end of the Visitors' Center in an old building that has been updated. Here is the best part though. It only seats about 975 so everyone is relatively close to the stage, the actions and the performers. We had seats in the balcony on the right side and the view... More

We just saw a superb performance of the Charleston Jazz Orchestra in an ideal setting for this great group of jazz musicians. Over the years we have been able to see several jazz concerts at the Music Hall where the seats are very comfortable and the acoustics excellent. Unfortunately we do not live in Charleston or we would go more... More
