An old train station, repurposed as a music venue. The restoration as a music venue goes back to the early 90's as the underutilized space received a makeover as a performance center - being home to Calvin Gilmore's "Serenade". Great attention was paid to the acoustics, and it is still evident today. Truly not a bad seat in the house.... More

Ok everyone, the Performing Arts Center is not the only place with great acoustics. Had the pleasure of attending a Boney James concert last Friday. The Hall is located downtown smack in the middle of the historic district. Lots of things to see and lots of places to eat or drink within walking distance. I recommend Hall's Chophouse, literally a... More

Drove 7 hrs to see Toad the Wet Sproket, had VIP tickets so we came early and met the band. We got to hang out a bit longer than most at the venue ...lobby is small but nice with a historic flare. Two little bars had snacks and pricing was average . We were in third row center and it... More

This was a great place to attend a concert, not a bad seat in the house. Staff was friendly & helpful. They have a snack bar inside but allow outside food to be brought in, just not drinks.

This is a Music Hall with a history. The building dates back to the mid 1800's. It is a beautiful building. Inside, you will find an intimate little theatre. The space is charming. The seating comfortable, and there is not a bad seat in the place. Want a drink? No problem. Want to take your drink into the theatre? Also,... More

A great venue to see concerts, not a bad seat in the house! Easy parking in the garage in back of the Hall, which is a plus in downtown Charleston.

I was really shocked by how intimate this venue is. I recently attended a Cyndi Lauper concert and loved that there is really not a bad seat. It is about the size of a small Broadway theater.

this was my first visit to this venue that I have heard a lot of positives about. My experience exceeded my already high expectations. Of course having Gillian Welch, David Rawlings and the Punch Brothers all in one show did not handicap the experience. The seats are comfortable and cushioned with enough space. I had a 3rd row balcony which... More
