- Roger HSnohomish, Washington264 contributionsInteresting and RelaxingThis is and interesting spot for killing time while waiting for the next ferry to Fort Sumter. The parking garage serves the square, the Aquarium, and the ferry boat. Hence, it can be quite crowded on summer days and holidays.Visited November 2019Written January 24, 2020
- dambankerToronto, Canada1,146 contributionsNice placeNice place to wait for the ferry to Fort Sumter. Lots of benches to sit at but make sure to go over to the docks and look out at the harbor. Great views and very relaxing. Overall the park is very informative. Just outside, down the road, are the Borough Houses. Very interesting story and I love the spirit of not giving in there. Worth a look in their own right.Visited November 2022Written December 23, 2022
- Rene' SCovington, Georgia419 contributionsLots of sad historyTake your time to walk around and read the history of Liberty Square. Talk with your kids about slavery and the importance of remembering that all people are created in the image of God and should be treated accordingly.Visited July 2020Traveled with familyWritten July 10, 2020
- Corkykar4 contributionsNot greatThe closest beach is 30 min and it’s filthy. Beach chairs and umbrella for 2 people was $45. No food anywhere porta potties. The hotel didn’t even give you beach towels. It’s about 110 degrees and they didn’t think to put a pool in. I would have gladly paid to use a neighboring hotels but apparently they’d rather use their space putting in rooftop bars. Don’t go when it’s hot out! Nice hotel no amenities. Still using the covid excuse not to clean the rooms or provide and food at all even to owners.Visited June 2021Traveled with friendsWritten June 30, 2021
- Faith NWalterboro, South Carolina2,284 contributionsNice break spot near the aquariumWe walked over to the Square after leaving the aquarium. Full of history (info posted all over on its significance in history,) gorgeous little spot and close to many spots to visit (aquarium, water front and Fort Sumter boat boarding location.) We all enjoyed the little break here before heading back to our vehicle to leave.Visited January 2020Written January 5, 2020
