I had friends visiting from out of state, and we spent a few days in Charleston. It was a packed few days of sightseeing, but this tour really stood out as one of our absolute favorite experiences. Our tour guide Roy was awesome--his delivery was perfect and he was such a great storyteller. Along with some fascinating ghost stories, he gave us a lot of general history about the city. We hung onto his every word, and the 90 minutes flew by!…

Went on a ghost tour with Roy- awesome! He was so knowledgeable and added in a lot of local legend and color! Loved it- must do!

We took this tour with our adult children and their significant others. We had a fabulous time and learned more history about Charleston with Roy as our guide.

The guide was under the influence, evidenced by his breath and balance. The guide may have been well-read on the stories, but he couldn't tell a story to save his life. He followed another group of another agency, and we noticed how good that other guide was.

Otherwise lacking in articulation, this reviewer needs to double-check the actual company he went with. We only conducted tours for the month of December on 12/2, 12/17, and 12/27-30 (so a total of 6 nights for the entire month as it is the off-season) and they were ALL WITH A FEMALE TOUR GUIDE, SUSAN (10+ years experience). No male tour guide had worked in over 4 weeks for that month. There are over 2 dozen walking tours in Charleston, and TripAdvisor does no work to make sure that reviews are posted to the correct location.

Really not into ghosts, but this is a fun family activity for an evening. Our guide was a Charleston native and a history buff, and so we learned a lot about Charleston in general. The stories were fun, not scary (no one jumping out at you). What other activity is going to take you into alleys, old graveyards and hotel banquet halls after dark?…
