It is pretty park. But to call it Williamsburg of South Carolina is a major overstatement. After paying an admission fee we were directed to the area were "colonial time dressed educators" were suppose to present there stories and part in history. All that we...More

We really enjoyed walking the historical trail and the animal forest was amazing--all kinds of animals and birds indigenous to the area. The trail is paved and the historical points are very well done.

This is an important historic site but there is little to see except in the visitors center. It has a good story of the landing and site.

This park was the first site of the Charleston colony. As such it is historic. It is about a two mile walk around the park which has a small zoo; there is also a small merchant ship replica of the ones in use during colonial...More

Admission is 10$ per adult and well worth it. Approx. 1.5 miles of beautiful walking paths with placards. Plan on spending about an hour in the visitor center walking through a very engaging and informative exhibit on what the first settlers experienced. We spent another...More

If you want to go to the boat then it will take longer. I would recommend 3 to 4 hours. If you take a picnic lunch, there is a small picnic area outside the back door of the main building which is very quiet and has tables... More
