This private 2 hour boat adventure is what Charleston is really all about!...

This private 2 hour boat adventure is what Charleston is really all about! I'm a native captain, so we'll glide through the uncrowded backwaters of the most pristine estuaries in the country. We'll learn to harvest oysters, catch shrimp and identify local shore birds. Next, we'll find the Bottlenose Dolphins. Having them swim next to the boat is exciting, but if we find them feeding in the shallows it's spectacular! Our next destination is Morris Island where I'll teach you about its rich Civil War history as well as my own family ties to it. We'll then walk its shores looking for shells and artifacts as the sixth oldest lighthouse in the nation serves as our backdrop! So as you can see we have something for everybody on this trip. The dolphins are always here, the beach is loaded with shells, and if you listen hard enough you just may hear the roar of cannons from the past. So come on and join me! You never know what washed up the night before...

Gresh is the perfect individual to have answers to much of the history and nature in the low country; having Gresh as a charter captain only makes it more exciting! As a birthday surprise for my fiancee we really didn't know much of what this experience would be like. Our captain is one with the the land and water knowing... More

We had a wonderful trip with Captain Gresh. The boat ride was a blast and we loved seeing the Lighthouse and spending time on the beach looking for shells and artifacts. Highly recommend this trip for all.

My wife and I took our 3 grandchildren on a ARSC tour with Captain Gresh and it was a fascinating tour that took us " behind the scenes of historical Charleston area". We found the Captain knowledgable of the history and ECO system and would highly recommend this charter for anyone looking to avoid a cattle call tour.

Gresh, was beyond AWESOME! He was knowledgeable, friendly, patience, well spoken. He taught us of habitats of the Ocean, the history of Morris Island, and the light house! He also has strong roots that makes it so more intriguing and so fun! Then Morris Island has sooooo many sea shells and sharks teeth, star fish just a true great experience.... More

Just took my family on an hour & half + tour of Morris Island and the Lighthouse with some shelling and Dolphin spotting. Captain Gresh was wonderful. He''s an 8th generation local who knows and happily shares all of the local history and interesting facts, and there were Revolutionary and Civil War battles all over, it's Charleston after all! We... More

We loved our day exploring with Captain Gresh! He is so personable and shares history of the area, the ecosystem and his family heritage. It is so interesting that you can't believe how quickly a couple hours can pass! Our favorite part of the tour was hunting for artifacts on Morris Island, where we scored some amazing finds. Between the... More

Everything about this tour was phenomenal. It's quite apparent that Gresh loves what he does and is proud of his homeland, the eco-system, the rich history. As noted by LOTS of other trippers, Gresh is VERY knowledgeable about the marshes, the wildlife, Morris Island, the Civil war, and the treasures on the beach :) Gresh is very professional but shares... My wife and I have been on tours before and they have been great but seemed canned. Capt Gresh made everything personal and made you feel like a local. We started out with the tide in and Gresh pointed out the tops of an oyster bed and reminded us to check them out on the return. We took a leisurely... More

We highly recommend Capt Gresh's trip around the estuary's of Charleston. The 3 of us sailed at 3.00pm and Gresh eased us into the life and history of the waters he's grown up in. We saw the huge natural oyster clumps and bird life that Gresh explained to us. The breeze from the boat makes it a lovely couple of... More
