Description:

This private 2 hour boat adventure is what Charleston is really all about!...

This private 2 hour boat adventure is what Charleston is really all about! I'm a native captain, so we'll glide through the uncrowded backwaters of the most pristine estuaries in the country. We'll learn to harvest oysters, catch shrimp and identify local shore birds. Next, we'll find the Bottlenose Dolphins. Having them swim next to the boat is exciting, but if we find them feeding in the shallows it's spectacular! Our next destination is Morris Island where I'll teach you about its rich Civil War history as well as my own family ties to it. We'll then walk its shores looking for shells and artifacts as the sixth oldest lighthouse in the nation serves as our backdrop! So as you can see we have something for everybody on this trip. The dolphins are always here, the beach is loaded with shells, and if you listen hard enough you just may hear the roar of cannons from the past. So come on and join me! You never know what washed up the night before...

Went out with Gresh on Thursday for the Eco tour to Morris Island Lighthouse. We'd gone out with him nine or ten years ago, and his tour was the first thing I booked when I knew we were coming back to Charleston!! I don't know how it's possible, but he hasn't changed or aged in 10 years!! He's still as... More

This is a fabulous tour of the waterways near Folly. Saw Dolphins, shrimp, and learned a great deal from captain Gresh about the area. I highly recommend this tour!

This was our second time on this tour -- we went with Capt Gresh 10 years ago, too! Super nice guy -- it's a private tour on a speedboat. He showed us all kinds of interesting things -- he showed us the oyster beds, caught some shrimp in a net, pointed out dolphins, fish, birds, etc. We even got to... More

We had the best time on this trip. We were a family of 6 and all fit quite nicely on the boat with Captain Gresh. He took us out and we were able to see and film a pod of dolphins. My daughter was thrilled as this is all she wanted out of the whole vacation. We were able to... More

After being super bummed about our Charleston Kayak Company "kayak" tour around the harbour and seeing nothing I wanted to try again and hope for seeing some dolphins and enjoying a boat tour. So happy we booked this tour and Captain Gresh was great. I was honestly shocked that it was affordable for us to charter a tour for just... More

Even though we were late due to traffic, Captain Gresh was gracious, helpful and accommodating. His easy manner helped a potentially tense situation into a joyous, fun adventure. Captain Gresh was informative and stopped to explain about the nature of the area. We had just visited the McLeod Plantation. When he heard that he went in to stories about his... More

This tour was so much fun! There were so many Dolphins and birds to see, and Captain Gresh was such a wealth of knowledge. We all learned a ton of new facts about the area, and found some amazing treasures on Morris Island. I highly recommend this to anyone...you won't find a better captain to take you on this adventure!

Absolutely awesome experience. Captain Gresh picked us up promptly and we got started. Got to walk around and look for seashells, check out the light house, and see a ton of dolphins. We were able to bring a cooler with some drinks in it and just completely relax while taking in the scenery. Captain Gresh was super friendly and knowledgeable.... More

Captain Gresh is very knowledgeable and friendly. He actually ran with my children down the beach on Morris Island to point out a pod of dolphins. It's a boat tour that's perfect for families or small groups.

This was a great time. Loved seeing the dolphins and picking up shells. I'd suggest bringing along a bag to help carry your "finds". A vacation favorite with our crew.
