Description:

This private 2 hour boat adventure is what Charleston is really all about!...

This private 2 hour boat adventure is what Charleston is really all about! I'm a native captain, so we'll glide through the uncrowded backwaters of the most pristine estuaries in the country. We'll learn to harvest oysters, catch shrimp and identify local shore birds. Next, we'll find the Bottlenose Dolphins. Having them swim next to the boat is exciting, but if we find them feeding in the shallows it's spectacular! Our next destination is Morris Island where I'll teach you about its rich Civil War history as well as my own family ties to it. We'll then walk its shores looking for shells and artifacts as the sixth oldest lighthouse in the nation serves as our backdrop! So as you can see we have something for everybody on this trip. The dolphins are always here, the beach is loaded with shells, and if you listen hard enough you just may hear the roar of cannons from the past. So come on and join me! You never know what washed up the night before...

Fun? Check! Informative? Check! Relaxing? Check! This tour gave us exactly what we were looking for on a boat tour. Gresh has been here all his life. The history that he knows and shares is excellent. We learned so much about the area through the stories he told and the marine life that we saw. We thoroughly enjoyed wandering around... More

My sister-in-law scheduled this tour for the family. This was one of the, and only, tour that was exceptional!! Captain Grish was a great host and tour guide by giving us the history of the area. We were less than 2 feet from dolphins! He took the time to show the kids how-to catch shrimp. It was a great experience... More

From age 14 to 70 we all loved this experience the most out of our entire week at Folly. Captain Gresh Meggett was so passionate about the history of the island and also the Dolphins constantly surrounding us. He could even identify them by their fins. It is like you are in another world. So peaceful. Oh and the shells,... More

Captain Gresh was great. His love for the area really shows as he's navigating you through the river he grew up on and over to Morris Island. Learned a lot and it was very enjoyable.

We all loved this trip. Our guide really taught us about the local shrimping and oyster fishing. He even showed us how to catch shrimp. The shelling was nice. We all loved seeing Dolphins. Our older teen girls didn't even miss their phones.

Capt Gresh was super knowledgeable and personable. He managed to fit a giant beach wheelchair onto his boat so my son can "walk" on the beach. He was on-time and told us a lot about the history of the area and the river. I highly recommend this to anyone. We did not see any manatees but plenty of dolphins birds... More

Capt. Gresh was a great guide! We had a private boat tour of the marsh lands. He showed us dolphins strand feeding, how shrimping was done and the light house. He is very knowledgeable of the area. We had a wonderful time. It was awesome having a small personal tour, just our family vs other large group tour boats. This... More
