Overview
This isn’t a typical historical walking tour—your local host aims to show you the naughty side of Charleston. Learn about the city’s history through the eyes of its more unsavory characters like the resident prostitutes, pirates, criminals, and corrupt individuals who have called the city home since its founding in 1670.

So I hate history tours but my boyfriend loves them, and we were visiting for his birthday so we did 3, and this one was BY FAR the best one! Our guide was super informative but also really fun, and the Edgar Allen Poe part blew my mind :) Definitely worth the time!

Excellent tour! Our guide, Don was so knowledgeable and great at keeping our attention. The history was interesting as we come to Charleston annually and always do a different tour. This was by far our favorite and most informative. I highly recommend!

Of the 4 tours we did, this was the best. Totally unique walk through the weird and sometimes brutal history of this great city. Especially enjoyed the religious history and how it almost backfired on what the founders intended. Ño slow spots, interesting from start to finish. If you want to try something different, try this one!! PS: Dog friendly!!

Don did a great job of sharing interesting events that you just can't find in Wikipedia. I would recommend taking this tour and because he has more than one route we plan to go back
