I love the beautiful windows and paintings in the sides of the churches telling of the stages of the cross, as well as memorable moments of Jesus' life. The altar areas are memorable.

Don't miss this stop! Beautiful church that was a quiet respite in our busy day. Highly recommended. Make sure you know worship hours before visiting.

Beautiful old Church and inside is just amazing. Just take some time out of your schedule and just look at the church architecture and the history is so interesting and inside is beautiful.

I visited many beautiful churches in Charleston but this was my favorite. It’s magnificent both inside and out.

Stopped by here on our Two Sisters walking tour. Was interesting in its history, but I found the experience too touristy for a church. Lots of loud talking, including by the church employees on wholly irrelevant things. Seemed a little disrespectful for an active church.

The stained glasswork is beautiful. It was smaller than I expected, but I loved that - it made it feel intimate. It felt like a very active parish and I loved that as well. A placed set apart for sure.

I don't understand this review. How could Geo. Washington sit in a pew in a church that wasn't built until the 2nd half of the 19th century. Surely the reviewer must have misunderstood? That, coupled with the fact that Geo. Washington was decidedly not Catholic, I find this most confusing.

Hello, Christine.
What walking tour did you take in Charleston? Would you recommend it? Also, my mom is 76 and is in pretty good shape. Could she do the walking tour? How long is it?
Thank you so much,
Dee
