This is a huge shopping area. If you're looking for it they probably have it. A big selection of different types of items. Some things are a little pricey but overall good. Make sure you have your walking shoes on..

Confederate Museum on the top and air conditioned shops on the bottom. We did not go thru the museum, because it opened later than we were there. The bottom has a variety of shops which include paintings, clothes for all ages and genders, food, and...More

There are several buildings covering several blocks, a lot of vendors and souvenirs. It can get crowded. We went during the daytime, I hardly find anything original or unique. It’s a great idea, nice old buildings, but the merchandise is not special at all. I...More

There are definitely some unique things you can purchase here. I love the REwined candles. However, the walkways are over crowded especially when a cruise is in port. A lot of the stuff is kinda crappy.

It's not what I thought it was gonna be. I thought it would be a cool food market, but it's a lot of tourist junk.

Lots of local vendors and opportunities to buy handmade souvenirs. We went to the evening market and met some very nice vendors. Jewelry, soap, baskets, christmas decorations, etc....

Lots of local items. We bought a bundle of hand made flowers. Lots of local people making the baskets. Very crowded. Cool area with lots to see and lots of good restaurants in walking distance.

Several buildings covering several blocks. You walk from one to another but in a straight linear fashion. Be prepared for crowds. Lots of wares for sale some food and lots of culture. Reminded us of Pike's Place in Seattle.

Parking is available alongside the market, If you plan to park there I highly suggest you get there very early. Otherwise there is a parking garage located off King Street which isn't too far of a walk to city market. Plus... More

Is it dog friendly? I plan on having him in a soft crate but it would still be good to know.

It's an open air market, but I don't recall seeing any and it's not listed as being dog friendly on the Bring Fido website.
