Very well presented and an interesting perspective of our history. Take enough time to read many of the personal accounts, that served to me that people not issues are what make history so powerful. Great place to cool down after a hot walk through Market...More

The museum would benefit from providing more context and explanations for its artifacts. I would prefer fewer artifacts (several artifacts have nothing to do with the Civil War), and I would prefer better presentation, both in format and content. Some artifacts are placed too high...More

My husband, 15 yr old son, and myself visited the museum and found it very interesting! It had many interesting documents and artifacts pertaining to the Civil War. It presented the facts if the time. I don’t think anyone alive today believes slavery was a...More

We walked into this building and were underwhelmed at first. It is a large, moderately lit space with exhibits all over. We almost just left, but decided to give it a try and we are glad we did. We live near a few battlefields in...More

For $5, this museum is a great value and displays so many interesting artifacts. Like it or not, this is a part of our history, and we have come a long way since then, and can only learn from past mistakes. Going through the museum,...More

Seems like an odd place for a Confederate Museum but it was interesting and as a veteran it was free. It is fairly small and only takes 30-45 minutes to go through. It has quite a few interesting artifacts. Its $5 for non-veterans and I...More

As fans of all pages of our American history, we found this small museum to have an excellent collection of Civil War era memorabilia. The collection is owned and operated by a group of dedicated Daughters of the Confederacy. There were some well preserved textiles...More

One room museum full of interesting artifacts, but lacking in historic descriptions in most instances, beyond the provenance of who donated it. Other reviews referred to docents, but there were none around on the Saturday morning that I was there. Granted, the $5 admission fee...More

Thanks for visiting us. Unfortunately, the uniforms were donated to the museum more than 120 years ago and there was little information to go with them. We have been researching the soldiers that wore them and have managed to find a few pictures and a...More

The amount of artifacts displayed in this historic building is outstanding, a little crowded, but very impressive. We randomly stopped in and felt the $5 admission was well worth it.

It was pretty cool and inexpensive. While I hate slavery in any country we should no forget or ignore our history.
