The exterior of the house is gorgeous alone, the structure, and gardens... But the tour guide warns you that it gets stunning inside the front door. This house, is PACKED FULL of antiques from all over the world, I think the things inside of the...More

This is an awesome house with the largest collection of expensive antiques that you will ever see... this house is almost a hoard of antiques from all over the world.

On our last day in Charleston we decided to head over to Calhoun Mansion. A local had recommended we visit and we were so glad we made it apart of our Charleston experience. We arrived just as a tour was beginning outside the beautiful front...More

Our guide from our wonderful carriage tour recommended seeing the Mansion and taking the tour. Denise our guide was wonderfully knowledgeable about the history of the house and it's magnificent contents. It's affectionately called the OMG tour and not an inch of the tour disappointed....More

Located on Meeting Street, this is the largest private home in Charleston at 24,000 square feet. The outside of the building is amazing and the gardens are well cared for. Two tours are available, a shorter tour on the hour and 1/2 hr costs $16...More

What an amazing collection of history! The innumerable collector's pieces in this house makes it worth the price of the tour. Not sure I've ever been in another house with as many priceless pieces of furniture, art, etc. Definitely a great tour!

No, this is not a typical Charleston tour. It does not explain in depth a lot of the history that other tours give you. But it sure is interesting. The owner is different for sure. The tour guide was numerous and knowledgeable. I would go...More

This is a beautiful home on the outside with pretty gardens, but it is crammed so full of the owner's "collections," (which have very little to do with the time the home was built) that it is a bit overwhelming. Ticket price was the highest...More

This mansion is very impressive with all the pieces of art from every corner of the world. The most important part is that while the owner lives on the property its open to public of course for a fee. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with...More
