This building has been preserved with a downstairs gift shop and courtyard/ The second floor has artifacts. It is across from the new Reconstruction National Park.

The museum is small and we first walked in I was disappointed by its size. A docent had just started a “tour” so we joined in. He was fantastic and really brought the history of the area to life and well beyond what was displayed. He made the experience.
Had fun walking around in there and learning about historic uses. This was build and used a long time ago but is still in great shape.
Stopped here on a rainy day as something to do since the beach was a no go, and we are glad we did! The docent was such a wonderful knowledgeable man, and dis a great job covering the history of the area in an interesting and exciting manor. My kids kept focus and enjoyed the…
