We only had one day in Beaufort and decided to do the downtown tour. The employees at the center were very friendly and not pushy. Jan, our tour guide was amazing. Her enthusiasm and knowledge made already a great tour all the better. Wish we could of stayed longer to do the Gullah tour. Beaufort is rich with history and... More

Great, informative overview of the charming town and its unique history. Especially fun for history buffs and people who just like to admire historic homes. Covers a lot of time periods in a relatively small area of town. Charming, scenic and a Lowcountry "must see."

We took the historic downtown tour with Jan. We enjoyed it so much, we took the Gullah tour the next day with Jan. Can't say enough about how great it was. Jan was able to educate, engage, entertain and inspire myself and a nine year old!

Wonderful 2 hour historical walking tour with a knowledgeable and friendly guide in period dress (despite the oppressively muggy weather).

My grandson and I were in town for only two days and decided to make the most of it. A quick tour might show us some of the history and places we might want to go back to within the days of our visit. We booked a 90 min. tour of the Downtown Van Tour. Jan was our guide. She... More

my wife and I took the three hour tour of the low country yesterday. Jan, our driver/guide made the trip. she was very knowledgable about the history and presented as much of the past that could be done in three hours. I might add that she sings also and has a beautiful voice. We highly recommend this tour as a... More

We took the Low Country Plantation & Gullah Tour. As there were only four of us (two sisters we met that morning and the two of us), we went by van, always more pleasant than a bus. Our guide and driver, Jan, was quite good. She was well versed in the history both of the area and the Gullah people.... More

This was our best tour during our one week on American Cruise Line. Kelly was so knowledgeable and shared her love of the Gullah history. We visited the Penn school, the Praise House, a former church. Everyone in the area should take Kelly's tour. It lasted about 2 1/2 hrs.

The Tour guide was Evelene not Kelly. She has not worked here for 2 years. But we did have these people on our tour they just got name wrong of their guide. More

Our guide Ashley was very knowledgeable and so warm and gracious. My mother, aunt, and I took a van tour of town and Pick-Pocket plantation and loved it. We could not believe how much Ashley knew about all the houses we passed in town, as well as the details about the family that built the plantation. And her a cappella... More
