We were fortunate to have Jacob give us our tour of the Historic District. Not only was he extremely personable, but he knew a great deal about Beaufort history. The tour was packed full of interesting information, and I learned a ton. The route is easy to walk. This is an excellent way to learn some of the history of... More

This is a fabulous tour group. We had Jacob for first part, Sharon for the second. They were both a walking encyclopedia of history of the area. We toured a plantation and the historic downtown. We loved all the extra info only locals would have or know. This is the only way to see Beaufort. Book these guys.

We just did a tour with Jacob and could not have been happier. Jacob was an exceptionally well-informed and friendly guide, and he helped bring Beaufort's history to life with a bunch of stories about the homes and families who lived there. We would definitely do a tour with him again if we were to come back, and we would... More

My sister and I ended our trip to Beaufort with the Pickpocket Plantation and Town tour, with Ashley as our guide. At first, we had hoped to do this tour when we first got to Beaufort but it wasn't offered until our last day there. Although we thought this wouldn't be optimum, we went ahead and booked it and, as... More

Evelene, our guide, was incredible. Dressed in period clothing, she took us to the Gullah country, had unlimited stories and oral accounts from the Gullah people throughput the last century and a half. Not only does this lady know her history and how to tell a story, she also has a wonderful singing voice and entertained us with spirituals and... More

We happened to have a free day so drove to Beaufort and looked for this tour, based on the reviews. Jacob did an awesome job showing us around the city, sharing its history and even blessing us with a couple songs! Since we came in the off season, we had the tour guide to ourselves. Definitely worth the trip to... More

Fantastic evening tour with friends and family, young children too! Tour guide was very knowledgeable and knew the history of the town. We learned a lot of neat historical history of old town Beaufort. Will recommend and do it again!

On a hot September day Jacob took our group of six on a walking tour of historic Beaufort, SC. The tour was a mixture of history, culture, music, and spectacular old homes. To make it even more interesting, Jacob shared historical pictures of then and now. He also spiced up the talk with song and told stories with a Gullah... More

Of the tours offered, we selected the most expensive but longest: the Low Country Islands & Gullah Tour. We were not disappointed! Our warm and chatty guide, Jan, regaled us with intricate details of notable residents from the 1700s and forward--a veritable walking history book, but with big personality and heart. With a lovely voice, she sang (and led) our... More

My sister and I took the Gullah van tour with Jan. She was awesome, friendly and very knowledgeable about the Gullah people. She treated us like we were family. She sings beautifully and even took us to the Chocolate Tree for a free piece of chocolate. I would highly recommend this tour.
