The Office staff were kind, respectful, and helpful. They provided a map info, along walking to the empty flower cone-vase bin to use for placing flowers. The area appeared to be well tended, and cared for by the cemetery grounds keepers. The headstone marker has been cared for and updated by Caretakers. Local volunteers had respectfully placed US Flags at... More

I stopped and paid my respects to the fallen soldiers when I headed out of Beaufort. They do a really good job of keeping the grounds pristine. There is a lot of history in that cemetery. I did not stop in and get a map, but tried to use my phone to find the location of a few graves. The... More

As we travel we stop at all National Cemeteries to pay our respects to the veterans. This one is beautiful and was extremely moving since the individual flags were still at the gravesites from Memorial Day.

We were fortunate to tour the Beaufort National Cemetery on a tour by The Spirit of Old Beaufort. Brings a feeling of pride that we've continued to maintain and honor our service members.

We had no idea that out-of-the-way Beaufort would have such a beautiful memorial; but it does, and it is well maintained, sobering, and a fine tribute.

Rode through this historic cemetery on Memorial Day while fellow town members were preparing their floats for the parade and setting up floral wreaths and tents for the ceremony before. Very moving...........

Too bad the water quality used to water the grass stains the headstones. This is the first National Cemetery that I have seen this type of defacement. It detracts from the serenity of the cemetery.

My wife and I visited on two consecutive days. On the first day, we stood at a respectful distance during the committal of a U.S. Marine Colonel who served as a flight instructor during World War II. The Colonel was accorded full military honors and it was a very moving tribute. The next day, we returned to simply walk around... More

Took a self guided tour in the Old Burying Ground. What a great way to learn about the history of Beaufort. I highly recommend using the guide pamphlet provided. We also went inside the church. It was early evening and the lighting through the stained glass was stunning.

Very nice national cemetery. Laid out by states. Mostly Civil War with Confederate soldiers also included. Very moving and quiet as are all national cemeteries. Near to town.
