nice spot to visit... takes about 10 minutes to see the view and that is pretty much it. No bathrooms or any activities.... but nice.

If you are a senior, you may drive down the narrow private driveway to the lighthouse parking lot. And there is a relatively self-contained open area for dogs who come when they are called. The setting is lovely in good weather. A very unique place. Great family place if everyone is up to a quarter mile walk.

Fun to go before or after a storm to watch the waves & surfers. Also beautiful large homes where the rich and famous live.

What's not to love about a light house. Whether you are in it or not, you are guaranteed a good view with some great pictures and memories. If you are near a beach going to a lighthouse is always a must no matter where you are.

We were staying in Mystic Ct. and decided to look up things to do on trip advisor, and Watch Hill was on the list and a quick drive into Rhode Island. It's was so breathtakingly beautiful! We took pictures, listened to the waves crashing onto the rocky shore, then went over to visit the beautiful Ocean House.

If you are over 65 years old you can drive out to the lighthouse. If you are younger you have to park legally and hike to it. Be careful to be certain your parking space is legal. Parking fines are astronomically expensive.

Like much in the Watch Hill area, access to this attraction is understated. Look for a red sign at a private-looking hardtop driveway winding down among posh homes on its way to the point. If you are a senior (65 and up) you are allowed to drive in. If not, you are supposed to park somewhere (good luck with that)... More

Grew up in and around this lighthouse. It is beautifully maintained but not always easy to get to bec of the "you must walk the road there." There are exceptions ...so try. The views are, at once, staggering and embracing. The terrain is beautiful and rough...and contains some of Rhody's most historic trappings.

Although the road to the lighthouse has its challenges the end result is worth it, whether you walk it or attempt to drive the narrow road.

Walk or ride if your 65. Spectacular viewing area for sunsets or crashing waves. Easy walk from Watch Hill business area if you park there. Free but no picnics allowed on grounds.
