Ninigret beach has a pond, it is not the ocean. Fabulous unspoiled beach; great for an early morning walk.

This beach has a pond; not the ocean. It has a lifeguard in season and is great for the younger kids. There is also a great park attached to Ninigret so they can run off some energy. Great easy place to visit.

I believe that three of these reviews refer to Ninigret Park in Charlestown, RI and the other three refer to East Beach in Westerly. I suspect the confusion is in that there is also an East Beach in the Ninigret Conservation Area of Charlestown, RI....More
