collection of historic buildings

History from the 17th through the 20th century. A few small restaurants and shops rapidly being taken over by contemporary suburban sprawl. Not all buildings are open for viewing.

Having moved away from Warwick (Apponaug area) over 20 years' ago, I was pleasantly surprised to see that at least some of it survived. I was especially happy to see that the ball field where my sons played Little League behind City Hall is still there. Many happy memories.

Apponaug Village is a quant little village. Only drawback is a lot of traffic on the one way streets soon to be fixed by new traffic pattern. You can visit the library, city hall, 2 churches and the various antique shops or eat in one of the many small restaurants. You can buy fresh seafood right from the dock down... More

We were staying in Warwick for a week, and this little village was in our path of travel every day. Although it's not a tourist attraction, it's a nice quiet place, for example typically while traveling we all have a tendency to be careful when stopping to ask directions. That was not a concern here. Everything is well lite up... More

...But not much more. A few shops. City Hall (if you need it). Not much in the way of restaurants or other activities. Pretty limited as a tourist attraction.

The Post Office, to me, has always been the anchor to Apponaug. Small shops line the street. A nice place to take a walk and get things done at the same time!

cute little villages with a very pretty City Hall as the centerpiece. Lots of churches. Right now it's a mess because of all the construction
