Went with two friends. We ate lunch at picnic table under trees and it was really pretty. Then we took a trail about half hour through woods, mostly flat land, until we came out at bay with boats. Nice. We walked back, then drove over (a minute) to the beach area. Not clean but was ok. Lifeguards, lots of families.

Lovely park, no admission fee. Has a small beach w/lifeguards, tons of picnic tables (may need a permit to BBQ?) boat launch, golf course, C&L stables and a "carousel" which has been turned into an event space. Quiet and green, came here on a weekday and the place was empty. Wanna ride horses? Make a reservation in advance, they are... More

Nice place to walk your dog, ride a bike or sit on the beach and enjoy the beautiful view of the Bay. Great for family picnics in the park, beautiful trees and horseback riding at the stables. The park is open dawn to dusk and is free.

This is a local gem - all seasons, all ages, and all activities. Picnics, walking, running, biking, roller-blading, swimming, pick up frisbee, kick a ball around, cross-country skiing - there is space enough for everyone

Miles of beautiful waterside walking trails, lovely picnic areas. Beautiful old trees and stone walls. I've been walking these trails for 25 years at all times of the year.

I have lived near Goddard State Park for over 30 years. It never ceases to thrill me in any season. Winter walks in the woods,by the bay shore or across open fields are transformed in Spring the rebirth of mother nature. Summer brings the picnic crowds and ball paying or swing at the beach. For some its the public golf... More

Great place to walk through the woods and on the shore. You can easily do 5-6 miles mostly with only seeing a few people. You can walk, or ride your bike, in the woods, fields or on pavement. It also has a beach and a public golf course which I've never played because I don't play. Washrooms available in season.... More

Went to the beach for a few hours in the morning/early afternoon. Free beach and free parking, which is always a plus. The beach was pretty clean for a free beach too. Not too busy, warm water, an overall great place to swim and suntan!
