This beach is located far from the busy areas of places like Newport or New Bedford. It's a long, sandy beach with gentle surf perfect for kids, wading, or just relaxing. Nice views and soft sand, lots of boat and water sports traffic to watch, a playground and picnic tables.

There's some great wind action so if your into wind surfing it's a fantastic place to go. If your just going to sunbathe its average. The beach itself is quite rocky so if your looking for a nice sandy beach, this is not it.

Visited on a hot and sunny Friday afternoon and there were only about 8 other blankets on the beach. This beach is set in a cove so the waves are small making it very family friendly. There is also a small playground for the kids and an ice cream truck came rolling in. It is very rocky though and water... More

Great day in August, warm water, great views, SW wind 10-20, lightly populated during a weekday, $10 entrance fee.

This is possibly the worst beach I've ever been to. Yes, it's quiet and parking is readily avaliable. But there's a foul odor of rotting fish un the air and bugs (that look like giant flies) that draw blood when they bite. And my companions and I have been bitten several times in just the past hour. Leaving early as... More

Come here with my young twin boys frequently. It's quiet, there is a small Playgeound, easy parking. Bathroom facilities need work. Lot of rocks on this beach and in water hence need water shoes. This is defiantly a hidden gem that's an easy getaway to beach without all the hustle and bustle of the larger beaches.

We found this cute, quiet little beach on a windy, overcast day exploring the area. In fact, we were looking for restaurant and got a little turned around and decided to take a peek at homes, farms, and the seashore -- the beach is a little gravely (soft enough if you're used to RI shores) and there are sandy areas,... Fogland is a neighborhood beach of Tiverton RI. It is pretty long, yet not very wide, quite rocky, but there are (in season) restrooms). The best of the beach is for children, whose parents can watch with very little depth for quite a distance, clean water, and rarely (unless a large boat whips by), any wave action. For those who... Nice, quiet beach in Tiverton that is more tidal than oceanfront. Rocky shore, so use water shoes. Peaceful and beautiful.

We like this beach as a family because there is a pond side and an ocean side. The pond is great for little kids, shallow and no waves. The ocean side is good for everyone.
