As a beginner surfer, the surfboards we rented were a bit small & light. The waves were also a bit choppy. The beach is a lot of fun& a great place to hang out

11 year old son wanted to try surfing so we called around and selected warm winds for a couple reasons: they offered a time slot that worked with our schedule, the price was competitive and the 1 on 1 lesson was longer than what the competition offered. Another important point is that warm winds parks their trailer full or board and wetsuits right in the parking lot of the town beach and we were able to meet them there. We paid for the lesson over the phone and found the person that helped us book the lesson very helpful. We got to the beach and met Casey. Even though it was 830am he was full of energy and ready to get things going. He fully explained what we were going to do during the 75 minutes together. Casey provided excellent basic safety instruction as well as form and technique. After a few more assisted rides my son was able to stand up and ride on his own. Casey provided great instructions and my son was able to stand up and ride about 50% of the time. It was an excellent experience due to Casey's motivational attitude, excellent instruction and uplifting fist bumps. My son walked away wanting his own board and wetsuit. If you are looking for a lesson this is the place to go. We also visited the shop after the lesson and experienced the same excellent customer service that Casey provided. Excellent business all around. I wish more local businesses were managed this well.…

We had a blast on our surf lesson with Warm Winds! Our instructor, Casey, has us stoked! He was a great teacher, and we left with a solid grasp of the fundamentals (and having each gotten up on the board a few times! Sweet!) Narragansett Town Beach is the perfect place for first time surfers, and the lesson and practice time was well worth the price! If you've always wanted to give surfing a try, give it a try with Warm Winds--you won't regret it!…
