Long beach front with no fee to walk in. My first trip to Rhode Island, and much less traffic, and more ocean front beaches open to non residents, than Cape Cod. Seaweed and some trash to be found at either end. Despite this, enjoyed exploring stone ruins at north end. Watched surfing and fishing.

Great beach with family, couples or solo. Great waves when they come in. Clean well maintained place. Nice views We usually take a week to spend here more family oriented than Misquamicut or if you just like to enjoy the beach, take walks or read a book. Showers and food are available

Scarborough is inexpensive compared to Narragansett which is how I chose this beach. Overall, the beach is nice but swimming is much less pleasant than Narragansett. Some areas are very rocky which makes it unpleasant to get out into deeper water.

We've been coming to RI my entire life, and we now almost exclusively go to Scarborough beach while we're here. The beach is shorter, but long, so it's very rare that you have people right on top of you unless you're very close to the water. The only drawback is that despite being so long, there are very few bathrooms.... More

Very clean public beach. You have to pay to Park until 4:00 PM. Out of state is $12. Access to snack bar available. Has outdoor showers to clean off.

We love to come to Scarborough every year and were pleasantly surprised that the parking fee had come down to a more reasonable out of state rate. My only concern is the cleanliness of the restrooms. They should not smell first thing in the morning if they have been cleaned. Last year I complained to the management and they looked... More

Love love visiting here every summer. We have family living nearby so we're fortunate enough to be able to walk to this beach. Its long enough for a nice stroll down the shore but not huge. Where we stay is down by the south end, near the rock formation. Only downfall is that most of the seaweed goes there too.... More

We went to Scarborough beach today. Like other reviews, ample amount of parking, 14 dollars on the weekend for out of state. Bathroom facilities were mediocre but they are in for an upgrade. I did not buy anything while there but they had concession stands and a little beach store to buy sunscreen, boogie boards etc. The sand was beautiful.... More

The beach was beautiful although the water was a little chilly. When you enter they give you a bag for your trash which we appreciate, in an effort to keep trash off the beach. The concession are pricey and the bathrooms are not monitored and were unpleasant.

Parking is very close to the beach/water. There are two buildings containing restrooms, showers, food concessions. It was two blocks from our B & B.
