I used to 'live' at this Beach during my teen years in the 70's-- but had only been back once since before we decided to try it again (we generally prefer Cape Cod and Middleton/Newport beaches). Well, the old place has improved a great deal!...More

Love the beach... we entered at end of beach near the little fort so we could bring our pup for a few hours! Very clean, beautiful waves and soft sand.

Lots of parking, great beach, good facilities -- it's what an ideal beach should be. Nice snack bar, great relaxation.

Beautiful beach! Convenient and inexpensive parking! However, extremely dirty restrooms detracted from an otherwise enjoyable day!

The State of RI has many clean, easily accessed saltwater beaches. The DEM website has a list of its beaches and parks, many of which have free parking and admission. If you're concerned about the cleanliness of the water you swim in,stay away from Scarborough.

This is a great beach for the young crowd, and I don't mean children. Expect more hardbodies here than at typical state Rhode Island beaches. But there are a multitude of pavilions here and a nice long stretch of beach, with plenty ofdining establishments close...More
